Fall was great. - Even for late fall the staff was wonderful and helpful, plus the wild life. They had the lights at the woodland park zoo up and they were getting ready for after Veterans day. Have taken my family there for 10 years or so and as a Canadian the price was great. Most Canadians think because our dalloar being so weak thats it way more expensive, but in reality the cost to do this is cheaper in Woodland park zoo than the zoo in Abbotsford in BC. I costed, 7 adults cost myself $107 USD converted was $137 CND. Thats not bad at all.

Fun day at the zoo - Nice walkable zoo. Like at any zoo, some animal exhibits, others were closed. But overall a great experience. Easily accessible by bus from downtown.

A fun get-away place. - It was a nice get away “from our daily routine” for a day. We hadn’t been to the zoo for quite a few years and it was fun to get reacquainted with it and see the changes that were made. It looked like a great place for young families to stroll with their young children.

Fun morning at the zoo - My son and daughter-in-law came over to celebrate my granddaughter’s 4th birthday and decided that a trip to the zoo was a great way to celebrate. Parking was a breeze but we got there right at opening, getting in was easy as we had already purchased our tickets and the zoo had maps that made it easy to navigate. We had a great time but my son and his wife didn’t realize how big the zoo is! We got to see about half the exhibits in about 3 hours and the grandkids were pretty well spent. We’ve already made plans for next year to spend the whole day there to get to see all the wonderful exhibits

Great Zoo - One of the better zoos I have visited. The exhibits seemed very large and habitable for the animals and they had a great variety of animals to see.

A Heartwarming Introduction to Worldlife - Lots of information all around the exhibits emphasized the many conservation initiatives particularly to save threatened species that this zoo is engaged in. There was also good practical advice on how we as individuals can be thoughtful with our lifestyle and protect the habitats. All done in an easy to understand and friendly manner. Many artifacts and quizzes for younger children too. The zoo has the usual collection but three jumped out at me - the one horned rhinoceros from Assam India (I recommend going to Kaziranga wildlife sanctuary there and see these pachyderms in the wild from an elephant’s back); the Magellanic penguins (a trip to Antarctica or the cone of South America are where you can enjoy seeing them nesting, waddling, swimming); and the silver back gorillas with their families (we can see them in the wilds of the Virunga mountains in Rwanda on memorable tracking trips in equatorial jungle), How eerily similar these beasts are to we humans! Thank Diane Fossey to bring us awareness of these apes. Remember the film Gorillas in the Mist?

What a waste - Everything looked the same: overgrown and over-decorated. You couldn't see the animals. Will not return.
