Lots of history to poke... - Lots of history to poke through, a lot of it interactive. The views at the top were incredible, and the bar was great.

Top of the Town - Thoroughly enjoyed our trip to the top of the Smith Tower. The Tower has an exterior deck that covers all 4 sides of the building and provided us a great panorama of the Seattle Harbor and points south. Mt. Rainier even made a glimpse appearance through the clouds. Each side of the promenade deck had signboards which pointed out and described some of the older buildings we viewed. The bar provided some excellent crafted cocktails and the young man who waited on us provided stories and background to enhance our experience. (Friday afternoon, September 11, 2026). Returning to ground floor level we took the time to work through the historical exhibits describing the background and beginnings of the Tower and its place in Seattle history.

Amazing historical tour - Richard was an amazing tour guide. He was incredibly knowledgeable, and absolutely hilarious. I'm a local who is a history buff, and I learned some new info. I highly recommend anyone check out this tour for a fun activity in Seattle.

Great tour and great view - Spencer have a great tour, the history of the tower is fascinating and even more opulent than you'd imagine from the outside. The view from the observation deck is a great view of Seattle from the south end of the city.

Great views of the city... - Great views of the city and much calmer experience than the other very tall building in the city. I recommend going at noon on a Sunday. We decided to have a couple drinks and got a great a lot next to the window.

Atop the Tower - The observation deck provides a striking view on all sides of the waterfront and downtown Seattle. Despite some overcast, we managed a glimpse of Mt. Rainier. We enjoyed a cocktail in the rooftop bar and then took our time to take the self-guided tour of the ground floor museum.

A fun experience.... - A fun experience. Cocktails were well made. I had the Espresso Martini. I like the edamame, well seasoned and tender. The view was great and Mount Rainier was gracious and made a nice appearance.

Cheaper booking through Viator - Booking 2 adult tickets on Viator was cheaper than buying online or in person at Smith Tower. The original west coast "skyscraper" is a must see when in Seattle!

A Great Experience — Even In the Rain! - For the price of admission, you get a self guided tour through some interactive exhibits chronicling the history of Smith Tower, a ride in a vintage elevator with an elevator operator who is full of trivia, and access to the bar at the top of the tower, where you can experience some great views of the surrounding area. We have been to the top of the Space Needle many times, and it was neat to experience a completely different view of the city. We visited early in the afternoon on a rainy day, so it was not at all crowded. We went outside and took in the views, then spent an enjoyable afternoon with drinks and appetizers in the Observatory bar. The staff was attentive and friendly, the drinks were good, and we very much enjoyed the swanky lounge vibe.
