• Hiram M. Chittenden Locks - Commonly referred to as the Ballard Locks, this is where we walk the bikes while exploring the botanical gardens. Take the opportunity to witness the Locks in operation and observe adult migrating salmon. Harbor seals, herons, osprey, and kingfishers are often spotted here. Exit via a wooden pedestrian bridge over a ravine.
• Fishermen’s Terminal - Visit the Fishermen’s Terminal, where the Alaskan Fishing Fleet docks their boats during the off-season. Ride the bikes down the docks to see firsthand how this terminal is linked to at least a quarter of the total seafood harvest in the U.S. The Deadliest Catch boats are also stationed here in the off-season.
• Fremont - The second food stop might be in the Fremont neighborhood, offering numerous options. Stop at Tivoli for the renowned Tomato Pie with Calabrian Chili Crisps, or explore why Teriyaki is a Seattle staple at I Love Teriyaki. Kenji visited nearly every Teriyaki spot in Seattle and identified four exceptional places, with I Love Teriyaki being one of them. • Gasworks Park Marina - While passing Gasworks Park, consider heading to The Wayland Mill for The Egg Sando and nut pie. If time permits, stop at Gasworks to enjoy one of the best views of Seattle as seaplanes land on Lake Union.
• Ballard - Often the final stop is Mean Sandwich, home to the Mean Sandwich and Oyster Po’Boy. Full of character, it is located nearly under the Ballard Bridge. Dan, the owner, frequently stops by to provide riders with a brief overview of his restaurant.

Food Consumption:

Meeting Kenji:
Kenji’s schedule does not allow for him to personally host these tours. However, he may occasionally make a special appearance, though these will be rare and unique events.

• You need to be a confident biker. We will teach the unique parts of operating an electric bike. You should know how to start, turn and stop on a bike.
