Great tour and fantastic tour guides. Great explanations of the various dumplings we sampled as well as a history lesson of the particular parts of the neighborhood where the restaurants are located. This is a great tour whether a person is a "beginning" dumpling eater or a dumpling enthusiast.

The food was fantastic - no complaints about that. Our tour leader was a little shy and there were many moments of awkward silence.

I took the noodle crawl last November. The Tofu Soup restaurant was on both tours. I would not recommend going there again. It is plastic looking place and the food is not that good. The dumplings were better in some places than in others. I enjoyed the fact that the tour guide explained the history of the ID as well as pointed out the changes and why they were happening. She also talked about specific food places and what they were offering even if we did not go there.

I did basically enjoyed the tour but was a little dismayed that there were two children ages 4 & 6 on the tour. The idea was for the tour members to talk and hang out but 2 kids of these ages easily take over the conversation. Energy is focused at keeping them happy and amused. 2 1/2 hours is a little much to expect from kids. Not really what I want to do on a Friday night. I'm a little hesitant to sign up for another tour as I don't want to do it with kids of these ages. Maybe age 12+? Courtney Westcott

Our guide was pleasant,(I am sorry, I do not remember his name), but compared to our guide in the winter for the noodle slurp, he did not talk very much, and did not share the broader history of the ID and the cultures and stories of the buildings. I realize he is not a trained chef, like the noodle slurp guide, but I was expecting a little more detail about the dumplings and the preparation and traditions. He did an impressive job of trying to keep up the interest of two children in the group who were noticeably NOT interested in the event or the food -- that had to be challenging for him. We very much enjoyed experiencing restaurants that were new to us! Dumplings were terrific!
