Discover Seaside and Cannon Beach on an approximately three-hour small-group tour led by a local guide and driver. Enjoy coastal scenery, local history, famous movie locations, and plenty of photo opportunities while the driving and parking are handled.
Highlights may include the Lewis & Clark Salt Works, Seaside’s Promenade, views of Tillamook Head, Haystack Rock, and scenic overlooks at Ecola State Park. When tides and conditions allow, guests can explore the marine life around Haystack Rock.
Guests can paint a rock for Seaside’s Painted Rock Beach, with all supplies provided. Along the way, the guide shares local stories and offers recommendations for dining, shopping, and other places to explore after the tour.
Tours run Monday through Friday at 10:00 AM. Guests should provide their pickup location when booking so arrangements can be confirmed.
Routes, stops, and activities may vary depending on weather, tides, park access, and group interests.

Sightseeing with Katie - Enjoyed the tour with all the sights and information with Katie. I think my favorite thing was painting a rock at Ecola State Park to put down at Rick Park in Seaside. Katie was super hospitable and gave us great information for dining, more sightseeing on our own and wanted to make sure we got down to Haystack Rock bc it was low tide and she didn’t want us to miss all the sea life that would be visible like starfish ect. She is also dog friendly and allowed us to bring our fur babies. Highly recommend.

Afternoon adventure. - It was a fully packed afternoon with a wonderful overview of the Seaside and Cannon Beach area. Katie is very knowledgeable and was quick to pivot from her planned schedule when we asked a question about agates. We didn’t find any today but had fun hunting for them. We saw a bull elk with his harem at Les Shirley Park and a female elk & calf blocked the road in Cannon Beach. My sister wishes that we would have booked a full day tour rather than the half day.

Outstanding experience - Outstanding tour! We loved learning about the coastal towns, and the scenery is just gorgeous. Katie made the experience unique to us, & gave us great suggestions on what to do for the rest of our days in the area; the perfect way to spend ann afternoon.

Above and beyond- Seaside & Cannon Beach tour - Katie went above and beyond to ensure my partner and I ( yes our own couples tour) had an unforgettable experience!
From picking us up right at our hotel to guiding us through incredible coastal lookouts—including Ecola State Park and Indian Beach—every moment was thoughtfully planned. She took us to the Cannon Beach History Center & Museum, as well as the lookout where the Necanicum River meets the ocean (where she even showed us how to use a crab-measuring tool for crabbing!).
One of the highlights was visiting Painted Rock Beach. Katie provided art supplies and rocks so we could decorate our own and add them to the collection, which was such a special, personal touch.
Her genuine care and attention to detail made all the difference. I will enthusiastically recommend her to anyone planning a trip to the area. Thank you, Katie! I wish you all the success in the world with your business.

Exceptional Personalized Tour Experience - Katie's tour was truly outstanding. The itinerary included incredible spots. There were multiple beaches, sea stacks, beautiful painted rocks, and pristine natural area. She shared detailed insights about the area. What made it special was how she customized the experience and stayed flexible throughout the day. The tour resulted in fantastic photos and discovering of breathtaking locations.. Seaside Tour-Amazing! - Katie, our guide was amazing. First, her communication prior to our tour was exceptional. She picked us on time and also had her friend Meredith join us to provide insight on parts of our tour. Both were extremely knowledgeable of the area and thoroughly enjoyed our tour. Book with Kate - Trust me! - I took my fiance on a NYE trip to tour the PNW, with a stop in Seaside to see the Oregon coast and scout out locations for potential wedding sites.
We were met by Kate, who was really an amazing host. Made us instantly comfortable and was so thoughtful on adjusting the tour based on what we were looking for, on the fly.
Kate is a longtime resident and knows the area inside and out. You can’t do better than having her show you around and getting a feel for the towns, tourist spots, and secret spots only locals know of.
When we return, will not have to repeat any internet research, Kate will be my first call for anything I need in the Seaside / Cannon Beach area.

Highly recommend tour! - It was our first time to Seaside and Cannon Beach and we were looking for a tour that would give us an overview of the area and what to explore. We were so happy to find Onward Adventures.
From the moment we started, it was clear this wasn't a standard, one-size-fits-all experience. Katie and Bill took the time to understand our group dynamic and customize every stop. Their local knowledge made all the difference, helping us navigate to places we would have never found on our own.
And finally, the best surprise of the day was their sweet co-pilot, Bailey! When they asked if it was okay to bring their dog, we enthusiastically said yes, and we are so glad we did. She was such a good girl and made the tour even more special.
If you are looking for an exceptional, personalized, and expertly guided tour that feels more like a day out with knowledgeable friends than a commercial excursion, book with Katie and Bill. Highly, highly recommended!
