Nice relaxing cruise with many birds to be seen and informative guide Dan. Highlight was seeing a pair of roseatte spoonbills on the island.
The day was perfect and Buddy and Dan were a delight!
We felt the organization of the trip was very good, check-in process was carefully done (parking area confusion not good--sign needs to be more indicative of exactly which parking lot is to be used). The two docents were both very knowledgeable, the captain/pilot was careful and professional. The restaurant was pleasant and mostly prompt in their service. The weather was gorgeous and the wildlife active--who could ask for anything more?!
Lunchtime cruise departed on time; Kathy - our narrator - was very, very good and kept us well informed - it is great to have an in-person narrator (vs. A head-set) - it is a more personal experience and Kathy was excellent at taking questions and answering them, on the spot.
This was so much fun! We had a great guide volunteer and we learned alot about the birds and the animals, The dolphins we encountered even played with us. Lunch at Pelican Bend was excellent. One of our favorites to dine at...
First of all, the s of the show were the birds and the lovely area in which the boat traveled. Fran, Susan and the boat captain were very knowledgeable about the flora and fauna that we were viewing. I learned so much from their commentary as we explored Rookery Bay. I highly recommend this trip to folks interested in the birds and the environment of Southwest Florida’s undeveloped areas.
Francine was a great guide — very knowledgeable, fun, enthusiastic about the wildlife etc,. Especially enjoyed and appreciated how she engaged the 2 young children in being engaged in and facilitating the experience for everyone. Boat captain Marty was very knowledgeable also, and he and Francine worked together well. Will definitely recommend to others.
Pleasant daytime excursion about as expected.
The captain was obviously very experienced and very professional. The naturalist was a wealth of knowledge about the wildlife in the area and general conservation information in Florida. The staff was efficient and polite and answered all guest questions. The only thing I would change, if possible, would be to find a restaurant with a more diverse menu. Most of the food served was fried and greasy.
Both the nature guide and the boat captain did a great job.
Loved tbe sceanery and all the birds. Great knowledge of area
Staff was very nice and knowledgable, it was a very nice experience that I will recommend to our friends.
informative,relaxing and fun

The Captain and staff were very knowledgeable and pleasant. The cruise was relaxing and enjoyable, and very interesting. Learned about the Eco system, and birds and Florida.
Great speaker and very nice Captain. Beautiful
FRANcine was wonderful. However her microphone did not work very well and it was hard to hear from the back of the boat. Nice Lynch and lots of birds. Want to do the sunset cruises will also inquire about volunteering with animal care. Thsnks!
Enjoyed seeing and learning about the ospreys and saw two bald eagles. Only a dolphin from the distance though. Beautiful sunny day. One problem was the microphone not working properly so this should be fixed. Thank you.
The moderator was extremely knowledgeable.
Extremely interesting and educational. Professional naturalist (I think her name was Judy) . Captain of boat was very capable. Beautiful day, nice boat and great experience
Beautiful weather, the water was gorgeous, saw dolphins, many species of birds, including several ospreys and their young in the nests. Our guide , Dr. Martin very knowledgable. Captain good too! And lunch was very good at Pelican Bend!
Attracted to the conservancy, ecological aspect
Judy, our guide, was very knowledgeable and interesting. Our Captain Jim was very thoughtful in dealing with our two young granddaughters who accompanied us on the cruise. Pleasant and relaxing time cruising on the waters.
I needed to change the date of the Rookery Bay lunch tour. The rep was very helpful and made the change immediately.
The naturalist was so informative, the captain was welcoming, the scenery spectacular & the lunch at Island Gypsy restaurant was great!
We find from other eco tours this trip (Big Pine Key (9:00), Marathon (11:00), Key Largo (10:00), Everglades City Wilderness (9:00)), that this time of year a 9:00 start is preferable to 10:00 for birding opportunities. We did see a White pelican (distinctive from Brown) which was not so recognized by the Naturalist. We enjoyed the Naturalists and the Captain, and the extended area not covered by the Sunset Adventure.
We were very pleased with our day cruise Very informative and we had a beautiful day!
Guides were very informative and their ethusiam for the area was contagious.
I look forward to every Good Fortune cruise opportunity. Good weather, a beautiful spot, an excellent narration and good friends made it a perfect cruise.
I chose this cruise because my wife was the narrator and we enjoy lunch at Pelican Bend.
