I flew on the Southern Cross with three of my friends. We all had a fantastic, fun time! We'll remember the experience for the rest of our lives. Thank you for keeping this flying museum in great shape!
They were always considerate of our safety. We had to re-schedule due to weather twice. The experience gave me a deeper appreciation for our service men and women
The flight itself was fantastic and so was the volunteers who run the operation. The reason I am only "somewhat satisfied" is because of the trouble I had booking the flight. I could not get my emails or phone calls answered. I realize its all volunteers that all have their own jobs to do. The experience of flying in the C47 is awesome. I would hate to see your business decline because of unanswered emails or phone calls.
Of coarse, loved the plane and appreciate all the dedication involved in keeping this bird in the air. Appreciated the excitement of all those involved in caring for piece of history and making it available for us to enjoy and appreciated. We love history! The plane was easy to move around in. Loved being able to take advantage of views from all the windows. Enjoyed hearing the history of the plane. The pilot was very entertaining. The plane was spotless inside! After the flight there were other knowledgable persons available to further educate us o the plane. Loved it! The views from the air were spectacular. Didn't want it to end!
My son and his wife and my daughter gave me this flight for Father's Day.
First it was a dream I'd delayed for years. Second my Grandad flew in WWII, a man absolutely larger than life to me. Third it was a gift I, ME, could give my family for my birthday. Those are the reasons I went. Now why was I so VERY SATISFIED? It fulfilled and exceeded all of my wildest dreams and hopes - the nostalgia yes, but it was more. It was so smooth and freeing, we landed like a warm knife going through butter! The flight was seemless and smooth, even for me in heels! Seeing 'home' from that close was incredible. We grew up in FW and now live in Arlington - the flight path, we could identify SO many locations/building/landmarks. We flew directly over our home, our real house that we sleep in! The children all saw their school, we saw my office near Arlington Memorial, the stockyards, Will Rogers Coliseum, our alma mater high school, the train, lake Arlington - again simply we saw HOME. If we ever move, I'll need this same sort of fly over! I think we'll be doing this again, despite the size of my family and expense - IT IS VERY MUCH WORTH IT!
