On a 3-hour walking tour, you’ll delve into Hanoi’s culture and history, stepping into a world filled with street food vendors. Unlike other major cities, Hanoi’s street food scene offers more than just hot dog carts and pretzel stands. You’ll have the chance to try a variety of dishes at local food stands and family restaurants.
The menu rotates daily to showcase a range of delicious options, but tastings may include rice noodle soup with beef, rice noodle with chicken, rice noodle with grilled pork, snail or dry noodle, sticky rice, and various kinds of donuts, steamed pancakes, or Vietnamese sandwiches.
Hanoi - Journey to Ninh Binh
Hanoi - 7:30-8:30: The tour guide will pick you up from your hotel and take you to Ninh Binh province, located about 100 km from Hanoi.
Hoa Lu Temple - 9:30: Take a 20-minute break to relax. 10:30: The first stop on this trip is Hoa Lu, the ancient capital of Vietnam. Visiting Hoa Lu, you’ll learn why the capital was moved to Hanoi. Be impressed by the outstanding architecture as you enter the temples of King Dinh and King Le, the first and second emperors of ancient Vietnam, built in the 17th century. Experience the ancient atmosphere of Hoa Lu. 11:45: Enjoy a buffet lunch at a restaurant featuring local foods like goat meat and fried rice. Vegetarian options are always available.
Tam Coc - 13:00: Visit Tam Coc on a 1.5-hour bamboo boat ride. During the trip, you’ll be amazed by the charming beauty of the paddy fields, river, water, clouds, sky, and stunning cave system, creating a masterpiece known as “Halong Bay on land.” 14:30: Continue the tour with a 45-minute bike ride around the village to discover local life.
Mua Caves - 16:00: Arrive at Mua Cave, considered the most beautiful viewpoint in Ninh Binh, often referred to as the “miniature Great Wall” of Vietnam. Embark on an incredible trek to the top of Ngoa Long Mountain to view the spectacular rice valley and enjoy the expansive natural scenery.
Hanoi - 17:30: Return to the Limousine bus and head back to Hanoi. 19:30: Arrive in Hanoi, where you’ll be dropped off at your hotel, concluding the trip.
Hanoi - Travel to Halong Bay - Overnight on Cruise
Hanoi - Halong Bay is a natural wonder of the world and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Upon arrival, you’ll understand why. Prepare to be captivated by the world’s most stunning views and enjoy a relaxing time on the cruise with exciting activities planned for you. After breakfast, check out of the hotel and depart Hanoi for Halong Bay. The cruise team will meet you at the hotel lobby between 8:00-9:00 am (the exact time will be confirmed the day before the tour).
Halong Bay - Arrive at the jetty around noon and board the cruise. After a welcome onboard and check-in, lunch will be served as the cruise navigates through the hundreds of islets. In the afternoon, enjoy activities such as swimming, kayaking, or visiting caves (depending on each boat’s itinerary), or simply relax on board. As the day ends, the boat anchors for the night in a beautiful location, so don’t miss the sunset before dinner. Overnight on board. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner. Note: In case of bad weather, the itinerary may change or be canceled if boats are not allowed to leave the port. Your travel consultant will arrange alternative plans if necessary.
Halong Bay – Hanoi – Night Train to Da Nang
Halong Bay - As the sun rises over Halong Bay, breakfast is served while the vessel cruises slowly back to the port. Enjoy an early lunch before arriving at the port and disembarking.
Da Nang - You’ll be transferred to Hanoi Train Station to catch your night train to Da Nang.
Hoi An - Upon arrival at Da Nang train station, your driver will meet you and transfer you to the hotel for check-in. The rest of the day is free for you to enjoy. Overnight stay in Hoi An.
Relaxing Day in Hoi An
Hoi An - Enjoy a free day to explore Hoi An at your own pace. The best way to discover this charming town is by renting a bicycle at the hotel and cycling around town towards the riverside or the beach. At the beach, you’ll find many small cafes where you can relax with a fresh fruit drink after swimming. The sea water is warm and calm. You can visit a tailor shop to have new clothes, bags, or shoes made overnight. In the evening, we recommend strolling around the Old Town area, which looks enchanting when the shops light their lanterns. You’ll feel like you’re in a fairy-tale. Don’t miss the colorful street performances in the evening. Overnight stay in Hoi An.
Hoi An Fishing and Basket Boat Tour
Hoi An - An English-speaking guide will meet you at the hotel around 8:00 am for a cycling trip to the countryside and rivers around Hoi An. As you meander through the countryside, you’ll experience the friendliness of the locals and enjoy the beautiful views. Next, explore the Eco-Village Cam Thanh, associated with the heroic history of the anti-French and anti-American wars, by taking a paddle boat trip in a unique Vietnamese bamboo basket boat through the waterways of a coconut palm paradise. Meet and engage with local fishermen, enjoy a hands-on experience of traditional net fishing and “Purple Crabs” in the canal, and receive charming handmade gifts from nipa palm leaves like hats, watches, and rings. After the boat trip, enjoy a delicious lunch at our restaurant and cycle back to your hotel.
Hoi An - My Son Sanctuary Sunset Tour
My Son Sanctuary - Start your day with a delicious breakfast at the hotel. Our guide will pick you up and take you to My Son Sanctuary, a World Cultural Heritage site. Then, you’ll take a bus to a local house to learn about rice-paper making and try making one yourself. We’ll return by bus and have lunch at another local house for tea.
In the afternoon, enjoy a boat trip to Hoi An, taking in the beautiful scenery along the largest river in Central Vietnam, the Thu Bon River. After the tour, you’ll return to Hoi An and be dropped off at your hotel.
Hoi An - Fly to Ho Chi Minh

Ho Chi Minh City - Afternoon & Evening: After checking in, you can take a nap or explore the city at your leisure. Here’s a local tip: Beat the afternoon heat by venturing out after 5:00 PM. It’s the perfect time to enjoy the cool breeze in Saigon.
Ho Chi Minh City & Cu Chi Tunnels
The Independence Palace - Take a morning trip to visit the Independence Palace, also known as the Reunification Palace, built on the site of the former Norodom Palace. The Independence Palace is a well-known landmark of Ho Chi Minh City, designed by architect Ngo Viet Thu.
Saigon Notre Dame Cathedral - Continue to see the beautiful structures from the French Colonial era, such as the Notre Dame Cathedral and the historic Central Post Office.
War Remnants Museum - Visit the remarkable War Remnants Museum, which has an extensive display of the Indochina wars. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.
Cu Chi Tunnels - In the afternoon, depart for the Cu Chi tunnels, a trip that takes approximately one and a half hours by bus. Upon arrival, before exploring the tunnels, you’ll receive a short introduction followed by a video about how the tunnels were constructed and how people survived in the harsh wartime conditions. Spend time exploring the remaining area and tunnel systems, which include specially constructed living areas with kitchens and bedrooms alongside other martial facilities like storage, weapons factories, field hospitals, and command centers, meeting the basic needs of those living inside the tunnels. Additionally, there are many hidden trap doors and dangerous traps within the maze-like tunnels for security purposes during the war. Afterward, enjoy special tea and cassava (guerilla food during the war). Return to Saigon. End of the trip.
Mekong River Delta Discovery
Mekong Delta - Embark on a comfortable 2-hour car ride this morning to the charming town of Ben Tre. Here, you’ll embark on a delightful day-cruise to explore the mesmerizing Mekong River Delta, often referred to as the “rice bowl of Asia.” Marvel at the breathtaking landscapes of fertile fields, showcasing Vietnam’s natural riches, as you sail along the river. Capture stunning photos of the vibrant green rice paddies while the boat navigates through the intricate maze of rivers, mangroves, islands, and swamps. In the afternoon, immerse yourself further in the beauty of the Mekong tributaries as you embark on a mini-trip aboard a traditional sampan, a smaller rowing boat, to navigate the narrow waterways. As the excursion ends in the late afternoon, the driver will transfer you back to Saigon.
Time to Say Goodbye - Departure from Ho Chi Minh
