The dolphins were awesome and my boys loved it. It was their favorite part of the vacation!
Great tour... I highly recommend the 8:30a tour. We saw dolphin several different types of birds and beautiful scenery. The weather was beautiful and the water calm. Dave our tour guide was not only informative but funny as well. We look forward to going again on our next trip to HH.
The experience was great. The guide was friendly and knowledgable. We saw a bald eagle, and a pair of dolphins. We followed the dolphins around for awhile. It was a lot of fun for a Sunday morning. My only (nitpicky) complaint is that the boats were all sit ins and one of my group has a strong preference for sit on tops.
Guides are very fun, knowledgeable, accomodating, and safe.
This was my family's first kayaking experience. My husband, daughter and I had a great time. Jay was a great tour guide. Loved the dolphin in the water encounter. Jay made us feel very comfortable, he was very knowledgeable; history of the land, dolphins, birds, etc. looking forward to returning when we are on vacation again.
Enjoyed the tour, but did not see dolphins. We'll organize. We'll run operation. Beautiful setting.
We had a very small group and Dave made the tour very personal and joked around with my teenaged girls. The I redaction between them was just right. Great tour!
Very good guide is exellent
Our kayaking adventure was cut in half due to rain. I thought we'd be given a voucher or something that would alliw us to come back to make up for the missing one hour we paid for.
Our kayaking tour far exceeded our expectations! Jay, our guide, was friendly and knowledgeable, and within just a few minutes of leaving the dock he had spotted dolphins. We were fortunate to come upon a nursing pod of calves and mother dolphins. They swam alongside and under us, and even bumped our kayaks in a friendly greeting. We watched and learned about their feeding habits, and Jay was able to tell us about specific dolphins that he recognized from their markings. Jay was also very knowledgeable about alligators and native birds, and was able to answer all of our questions. We've been coming to HHI for years, and have done kayak tours before, but this was definitely the best and was the highlight of our week!
We had a great time, saw lots of dolphins and enjoyed ourselves.
Organized staff. Started on time. Got to see a couple dolphins. Tour ended earlier than expected. Informative guidelines. Overall had a good time :)
Great Tour guide. Good speed and duration.
Jason our guide was awesome he spotted the dolphins right away and let us watch till we were ready to move on. He was a wealth of information about the area the wildlife everything from insects to birds. We will definitely come back to see you guys again.
The guide was great and told a lot of facts about the island.
Jay did a great job keeping everyone together. He was informative and professional. He allowed everyone to go at their own pace and we spotted dolphins...which was awesome.
Every year we kayak with Kayak Hilton Head and see something different depending on the tides. This year we were out at high tide and we're able to kayak through the marsh grass and saw a dolphin and her calf, as well as other dolphins. The guides are always friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. We'll be back again next year!
Dave was amazing. Loved the tour, loved the education, and loved the quality. Well worth it
Guide was very knowledgeable and entertaining,1St class outfit ,definitely would recommend and return ❗
It was neat. Saw 4 dolphins and followed along behind them. I would do it again for sure.
Beautiful scenery! Calm water. Gorgeous day.
I understand that we (people) cannot control wildlife to show up and be seen but seeing more wildlife would have made the experience a five star rating.
Jo was very friendly and led us on a very informative tour. Only wish we could have seen some dolphins, but we are in their habitat and on their schedule, not ours.
It would have been nice for the guide to have explained a bit more about the terrain around us prior to going in to various areas and thus alert us to stay away from the edges of the marsh as these areas are very low and mud contained and often kayaks get stuck in them. Thus when a kayak does he doesn't get highly upset, verbally upset and then proceed to mouth off about an individual in front of the entire group that had gone out about that individuals ability and lack there of. Extremely unprofessional and demeaning to that individual. Since he constantly told of large football players and large people getting stuck all the time it would of behooved him to alert everyone of these possible problem areas.
Me and my wife booked a kayak tour trip and Dave was our guide he is a great guide took time to tell and show the group things . Was a great experience and would referre them and Dave to anyone.. A+
Joe was a very good guide. Enjoyed the history and wildlife facts he had to tell. Thanks!
Did have fun! We had a party of 5 and our guide did teach us things about nature. Only thing that bothered me was that he was way ahead of us and didn't wait sometimes. We did see dolphins out in a distance and we got up close to manatee. That was amazing!
The guide and equipment were great. We saw two dolphins while we were waiting to get in the kayak but that was all. Not the establishments fault. We would highly recommend.
Two groups went out--- our group didn't get to see any dolphins--- that was a bummer...
We had a terrific kayaking trip Thursday morning. The weather was great, the setup was clear and organized, and we saw a ton of dolphins! This is going to be an annual part of our Hilton Head plans from now on.
Mary was fantastic and did a great job with educating everyone about the island and river.
Joe was great as a guide and we had fun. The ease of booking online I appreciated, but the chaotic state of things when you arrive and try to get signed in wasn't fun.
Our guide was Jay and he was knowledgeable, fun and cared that we enjoyed our tour. He made an effort to paddle with different members of the group to chat. It was easy to book online, they were organized with setting up groups and getting everyone equipped and safely into the water. We saw Dolphins and various birds. Those of you that have only kayaked in flat water this is the place for you. The other marina has lots of other water sports going on at the same time and you have to lift off from the beach and paddle into the waves to start the tour. Kayak Hilton head places you into the water from the dock and you take off. We had an enjoyable, pleasant experience :) and will be back next year.
We wish it was a little bit longer.
