Fans of the book and movie will love it - Having read the book and seen the movie, I enjoyed how Ryan used examples and references from each for the tour. He had additional stories about each character and what was real vs fictional. Ryan spoke to us, showed us pictures from his iPad, and was genuinely interested in our questions and feedback. This was my favorite tour from our visit. So much so that we went for a Mercer House tour right after.

Walking tour - Ryan Dunn was an excellent tour guide and very friendly. I loved how he had researched and interviewed many of the characters in the book. The information he gave was factual and brought the characters in the book to life. Now I need to watch the movie!! Afterwards he sent us a list of links and songs and other related materials where we could find more information.

We are huge fans of the... - We are huge fans of the movie and the book. It was great to see all the places that you have read about and walk the some streets as your favorite characters have. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the real stories and gave us a great understanding of what the real stories were compared to Hollywood’s creative licensing. Job well done.

Amazing tour for fans of the book! - Fans of the book should not miss this tour. It was fantastic. Our tour guide Ryan was a wealth of interesting and factual information. This is the second Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil tour we've done (first was with another company); this one was hands down the best. Wear comfortable shoes, the brick sidewalks in Savannah can be tricky. After this tour we decided to visit the Mercer Williams house. Highly recommend.

Chilly Morning Midnight Sites Tour - CON: WEATHER - I’m going to start with the con because there is only one and it had to do with the weather and NOTHING to do with the tour operator. My tour date & time 1/20/25 @ 9 am was an unseasonably cold morning for Savannah which turned into a private tour (yay me!) Due to the cold and wearing gloves I didn’t take many photos to share or notes. PROS: - I showed up super early as I was coming from Pooler, my guide Ryan arrived 10-15 mins prior to our 9 am departure wearing credentials; he was easy to spot & engage with. - We quickly learned I was on a solo tour (cancelations due to cold.) I feel there were more stops and historical information that was shared along the way than advertised. This was GREAT! - Ryan went into “Midnight” detail by aligning the author’s detail in the book and comparing it to not only the movie but by talking about he & his wife’s extensive research of the facts from the story. Some discrepancies are easily explained by moving a book to a Hollywood movie. He went beyond by explaining details of some characters, events, and their time discrepancies which can partially be researched at the Georgia Historical Society, where he pointed out to me (located a short walk from the Armstrong Mansion.) PRO PRO PRO: - Ryan talked a little about his company and the extent of the research he & his wife follow-thru with to develop tours. I often travel the world and look for authentic experiences often “going it alone.” My opinion of the professionalism and dedication to research, to be able to ensure a true historical tour providing facts and comparing it to the fiction and the Hollywood embellishment is the embodiment of an amazing tour guide. If you love Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil then you will appreciate this tour!
