Srebrenica Genocide Memorial Tour - I had the privilege of joining an incredibly moving tour to Srebrenica a couple of weeks ago with Meet Bosnia Tours. From start to finish, the organisation was smooth and effortless, and the preparatory videos shared in advance were invaluable in helping us better understand the genocide of 1995 before visiting the site itself. Enis was an outstanding guide, providing thoughtful historical and political context throughout the journey while also giving us the space to explore the Memorial Centre at our own pace. The conversations we had along the way were deep, reflective, and often challenging in the best possible sense. Altogether, it was a profoundly emotional and educational day, one that only deepened my fascination with and love for Bosnia. I cannot recommend this tour highly enough.

Profoundly moving and educational - I was 8 years old when the genocide at Srebrenica occurred. As a child living in the US, I knew there was a war in a far off land called Bosnia and I remember seeing horrible footage from the war on TV. Being so young, I knew nothing specific beyond the footage that has stayed with me to this day. Visiting Srebrenica was harrowing and profound, and it was all the more meaningful to learn about this often forgotten atrocity from someone who lived the war first hand. Our guide was an incredible storyteller - knowledgeable, engaging, and extremely generous with his time and knowledge. Though I was visiting off-season and there were only two of us on the tour, he put forth 110% effort and made the experience one I will never forget. I can only recommend all visitors take the time to learn about this important event. When we forget the dark times of the past, we are doomed to repeat them. Communication throughout was highly professional and clear. Thank you for an incredible educational experience. I will recommend to anyone and everyone I know visiting Bosnia.

Do not miss! - Do not miss this tour! This is such a tragic history that many want us not to believe or remember. Go see it with your own eyes! It is incredibly powerful and will stay with you. A special thank you to Meet Bosnia Tours who were exceptionally communicative, flexible, accommodating, and of course knowledgeable. All guides have a personal connection to this conflict which makes it even more meaningful. I highly recommend this to anyone!

Incredibly moving experience. Excellent value for money. - An incredibly moving and informative tour with Enis. This tour is an absolute must for anybody visiting Bosnia. The value for money is incredible. There were only two travellers including me on this tour - however Enis still happily drove us the three hours to Srebrenica (and three hours back to Sarajevo) and shared many interesting stories with us along the way. We stopped for a coffee on the way. Then we had a guided tour of the museum which was extremely impressive and poignant. We were then free to explore the museum and its various rooms and warehouses before Edin then drove us to Srebrenica and then onto the cemetery. We then stopped for lunch before taking embarking on the scenic drive back to Sarajevo. I would highly recommend this tour to anybody visiting Sarajevo. This is an often forgotten part of Europe's recent history - however it is imprrative for us to understand the horrors of Srebrenica so as it never happens again. Thank you Enis!

Visiting Srebrenica is... - Visiting Srebrenica is not an easy experience, and this tour handled that reality with care and integrity. My guide, Almir, was exceptionally knowledgeable and clearly deeply committed to telling this history accurately and respectfully. What stood out most was his ability to balance seriousness with humanity. His calm presence and occasional gentle humor never felt inappropriate; instead, it helped create space to absorb an overwhelming subject without becoming disengaged. This was a powerful, educational, and deeply moving experience. The quality of the guiding made an enormous difference, and I’m very thankful for the care with which this tour was led.

It was a very meaningful day. - One person could participate at no additional charge. Our guide, Almir, told us not only about Srebrenica, but also about his own valuable war experiences, and the long journey was never boring, and it was a very fulfilling day. Also, when I come to Sarajevo, I want to join the tour. Getting to Srebrenica on your own is hard, and rather than renting a car, you will learn a lot from going with a guide who will show you different places and tell you many stories.
