Wonderful walking tour! - Very accommodating, informative and great customer service. Our guide Shiun was friendly and a very lovely woman. She took us around town, gave us options, took our pictures, kept to our pace and had great communication. Highly recommend.

Excellent customised tour - Leo was a great guide - A great day out with Leo (Ryo) as private guide. He is a fluent (native) English speaker but also Japanese and knows Sapporo very well. It was like getting a private tour from a friend. It was somewhat unstructured, which I really liked because we were able to stop into various stores and other places of interest on the way, whenever I wanted - and Leo made recommendations

Sapporo City Tour with Shiunn Tei - Shiunn Tei is a great guide. She was on time, very personable, and spoke excellent English (and Japanese!). Shiunn accomodated our request to visit artisanal producers, we had a memorable experience at a traditional tea shop. The owner had a wide and deep knowledge of Japanese teas and importantly, showed us the how and why of brewing.
The next step Shiunn shared the founding of Sapporo city and showed us sites (free!) you wouldn't normally find. We toured government buildings-sounds boring but it wasn't in her hands.
There was a brief stop at a cafe decorated inside with dried flowers, very pretty and cozy.
We then went to Maruyama park which contained a large, beautiful shrine. Shiunn pointed out a shop that made fresh pancakes with bean filling, a Japanese treat. It was a refreshing break!
Next was the underground passage/shopping way that connects Sapporo Station, Odori Park, and Susukino. The walkways are a necessity in a city that receives ~16 feet of snow a year. It was an easy, and cooler way to walk with no street traffic.
If you need retail therapy, this walk is for you! Loads of stores at the north end at Sapporo Station.
Here is where we parted after 4 hours of touring, and we went on to enjoy a tempura and soba lunch.
Thanks Shiunn, we had a memorable time.

Sapporo hidden gems - Great Tour with a great Guide! Leo was my perfect company for that late afternoon walk. He brought me to some amazing places and provided the best experience with a dinner in a home cooking restaurant.

Educational trip - In a quiet way he told us a lot about Japan. The Olympic stadium was nice to see and the view over the city was stunning.

We had an amazing time! - We had a great time exploring Sapporo with Shiunn. She was very patient with my elderly grandfather and we enjoyed her company and she felt like family. She was knowledgeable on the city and speaks fluent English and Japanese, so breezing through the city was refreshing!

A brilliant, personalised way to be introduced to Sapporo - Our guide Zarina was fabulous, tailoring the day to our interests and speed. She had an almost encyclopaedic knowledge of the history, culture, architecture, flowers and fauna, which she shared with great enthusiasm.

A great time learning about Sapporo from a local - This was my first trip to Sapporo and I wanted to learn where shops, restaurants and landmarks are located and also how to get around using the subway system. Toru did a great job showing me around Sapporo and taught me how the city and the subway system are laid out. We visited the local university and Shinto shrine. He showed me how the city is laid out as a grid, where the bus terminal is and how the subway system is structured. By the end of this tour I felt confident I can navigate Sapporo alone. If this is the type of experience you are seeking, I highly recommend Toru.

Very Friendly guide but... - Very Friendly guide but nothing historical to see in Sapporo (not the guide’s fault). It was hard to fill the 4 hours, we had to spend time shopping in sweets shop with the guide
