Fun and food in Sapporo - Met at the clock tower and then checked out the city hall, Odori park, a great view from the TV tower and the Hokkaido Shrine where we learned about how you pray and enter, which was interesting. During our walk between sights we learned about some of Sapporo’s history, how, why and who founded the city. We then got to the fish market where we had a very tasty lunch and afterwards we went to this really neat, retro coffee house where you could also get a matcha latte. It was quite good and Tom was then kind enough to show us to the store where they sold the matcha. He even helped us find our next activity. He was a very attentive guide who helped our group get to know his city and each other which made the whole experience lots of fun!

Take this tour on your first day in Sapporo! - We had a wonderful tour! I recommend doing this tour as soon as you get to Sapporo to learn about the history of the city and get your bearings. Our tour guide, Iku, met us on time at the clock tower. It was a particularly cold day and she brought hand warmers for our kids. Iku was a fantastic guide; the tour was interactive and she asked us questions to engage us as we learned. She was patient with our kids and taught them about Japanese culture. We felt like we made a new friend. The tour was relaxed and we learned a lot about the city that we would not have learned on our own. The tour was a perfect length and ended with a delicious lunch.

A Delicious, Insightful, and Perfectly Guided Market Tour - Tom is a truly outstanding, world‑class guide. From the moment our tour began, he was warm, personable, and incredibly engaging. His deep knowledge of the area, history, and culture turned every stop into a meaningful experience, and his excellent English made everything easy to follow and enjoyable for our whole group. What really set Tom apart was how attentive and flexible he was. He listened carefully to what our group was most interested in and adjusted the pace and focus of the tour so we could get even more out of it than we expected. I also have a food allergy, and Tom went above and beyond to make sure I was safe and comfortable, coordinating options and double‑checking details so I could relax and enjoy myself. Because of Tom, this wasn’t just a good tour—it was an exceptional one. He is a true asset to this tour group. Five stars without hesitation.

Great tour and lunch in snowy Sapporo - Okie and her trainee gave us a great tour of Sapporo . The snow fell steadyi but we were dressed for it. Definitely need to dress in insulated gear, hat, sturdy snow shoes since the roads are slippery. Umbrella is handy. Everything was a short walk sround central Sapporo. I’m was very organized and the meeting place at the clock tower was convenient. The view from the Sapporo tv tower was great. The sushi lunch was delicious and [email protected] walked around the fish market after the tour. I would highly recommend this tour.

Great city tour with Iku. - The tour felt so short! Iku it’s a local from Hokkaido so she knows a lot and it’s very entertaining, funny and sweet! The tour was for me and another couple, and she took us through all the main spots in Sapporo, and gave us a lot of recommendations and places to go! I really enjoyed it.

Clock tower versus TV tower - Tom was a very friendly and gracious tour guide. We were late because we got mixed up about the meeting place, not realizing on our first day in Sapporo that the large tower with a digital clock on it that we could see from our hotel room was NOT the Sapporo Clock Tower but the Sapporo TV Tower. The company reached out to look for us much to their credit and waited for us to join. We hit all the highlights in good time but lunch we had to wait for our table because there were other customers seated and our group was big and it was limited seating. The rice bowl was super yummy though. Overall a memorable experience even though it started with a small panic about being in the wrong place.
