Sapporo TV Tower - Situated in Sapporo’s Odori Park, the Sapporo TV Tower is a broadcasting tower with an observation deck. Constructed in 1957, the tower stands at 147 meters tall. It was designed by architect Tachu Naito, who also designed other notable towers in Japan, such as Tokyo Tower, Nagoya TV Tower, and Tsutenkaku Tower in Osaka. In 1961, large digital clocks were added to all four sides of the tower at a height of 65 meters.

Odori Park - Odori Park is a green oasis in the heart of the city, stretching 1.5 km from east to west. Its history dates back to 1871 when it was created as a large firebreak to separate the downtown area from the administrative district to the north and the residential and commercial district to the south.

Today, the district stretches nearly a kilometer and features over 200 shops on both sides of the covered shopping area.
