We depart from our hotel pickup point and head towards Romana, the third largest city in the Dominican Republic. Here we break for restrooms and refreshments. There’s a selection of local Dominican crafts at the store for those interested.
Our journey then takes us directly to Santo Domingo City, also known as Province Santo Domingo. This is one among the 32 provinces of the Dominican Republic, separated from the National District on October 16, 2001.
The Santo Domingo province is a component of the Tenth Region Ozama, which includes the National District.
