Excellent experience - Excellent service provider. He picked us up at the airport on time to take us to the hotel. As for tours, we do the tour to Saona Island and the City tour in Santo Domingo. Without a doubt 100% recommended for its punctuality, reliability in transportation and professionalism of the staff.

Good all day tour if you can walk 25K steps! - Recommended for quick day tour of the Capitol city of the Dominican Republic. There is buffet lunch midway & two wholesale shopping stops for souvenirs & jewelry & art items. There was a local bilingual tour guide with the group. The tour van could not enter into our resort for pick up so we had to take taxis to the entrance & back!

Great tour bad communication for pick up - The pick up and random stop in the morning was not great. No communication on what was happening. But once we were on the tour our driver was amazing especially during the total downpour. Our guide Mike was extremely knowledgeable and very helpful throughout the tour. Only reason for 4 stars was due to the pick up. Originally told 7am pick up then got a message at 6:50 the pick up moved to 730. Then we drove to an empty parking lot and sat there for 45+ minutes as more vans arrived and people were taken out of some vans and left in others. No one from the company explained to us what was going on or how long we’d be there. Finally our van was filled and we were told we were on our way.

Great Emersion into Culture - Entering the Basilica. The church was magnificent and wonderfully preserved. I loves the personal headphones and fobs that gave you detailed information about certain items in the church. Would have been 5 stars but was transfered to 2 vehicles before being on the 3rd one that took us to Santo Domingo. Loved the buffet. The variety of dishes and the service was impeccable. Tour Guide Daniel was excellent in keeping us on time as well as switching between explanations in English and Spanish

Book German and get Spanish - Booked in German and receive 70% in Spanish. Partially unfriendly has often left alone and nobody knew where the guide was. Food was dry. Bus driver could only have Spanish and change twice without info on demand came “ no English only Spanish”

Unsafe Communication and Unprofessional Conduct - I was booked for the Santo Domingo tour as a solo female traveler staying at Hotel Catalonia Royal. The issues began the morning of the tour with constant changes to pickup details, unclear instructions, and contradictory information about where and when I was supposed to be picked up. Communication was handled almost entirely through WhatsApp, which already felt informal for something involving early-morning transport hours away from my hotel. The tone and content of the messages quickly became concerning. I was repeatedly addressed as “lady,” which felt dismissive and inappropriate. I clearly communicated multiple times that I was uncomfortable, confused by the changing instructions, and concerned about my safety. Instead of reassuring me or clarifying calmly, the driver/operator became increasingly aggressive in tone. I was told that: •. The bus would only wait until a certain time • I needed to rush to the lobby immediately • If I didn’t arrive exactly on time, I would be left behind At one point, the pickup location was changed again, and I was told to meet at a different spot that my hotel would not authorize or recognize as a safe or valid pickup point. I expressed this clearly and asked for confirmation or an alternative solution. Rather than working with me, the operator responded with rude and patronizing messages, implying that my discomfort was my fault and criticizing my “communication” and “vibes.” This was incredibly inappropriate, especially given that I was simply asking for clear, safe instructions. After I had already requested to cancel the tour, the operator then sent a message telling me I should “just stay at the hotel,” which felt like an attempt to regain control of the situation or get the last word rather than address the issue professionally. This message came after I had already stated I was canceling — not before. At no point was I rude, aggressive, or unreasonable. I arrived on time, followed every instruction given, and repeatedly asked for clarification when instructions changed. My only priority was personal safety. As a solo female traveler, this experience was unsettling and unacceptable. A reputable tour company should prioritize: • Clear, consistent pickup details • Professional communication • Respectful treatment of guests • Especially the safety of solo travelers - especially women. There was a point I was just standing alone on the side of the road on a major roadway looking around for the bus (which the operator had told me had arrived and would not wait for me… turns out, it wasn’t even there) This operator failed on all counts. I did not feel safe proceeding with the tour, and I firmly believe canceling was the correct decision. I am sharing this so other travelers — particularly women traveling alone — can make an informed decision.
