Excellent - Professional and kind drivers and tour guide Willy who made sure to safely show us around Santo Domingo! Great communication via text that allows us to know what to expect a day prior for pick up time.

Fantastic! - My boyfriend and I went on the private tour. Best decision we made for Santo Domingo from Punta Cana. It started with our driver picking us up at the resort and taking us directly to the tour guide in Santo Domingo, no need for stopping to pick up other people so it saved so much time. Even though our driver spoke very little English, with the little bit of Spanish I know we had a very good drive (about 2.5 hours from Punta Cana to Santo Domingo). Franklin was full of laughs and information and very accommodating. Once we got to our tour guide, Juan Carlos, the journey really began. He was so kind and friendly and extremely knowledgeable. I highly recommend the private tour if you can keep up and want to see the most of Santo Domingo. We started in Tres Ojos national park and then continued to take our private transport to the rest of old town Santo domingo. We stopped at the lighthouse which is gorgeous, the Capitol government district, and then to the historical distract. All of it fantastic. Juan Carlos was so knowledgeable and kind. He let us take our time to explore more of the things we were interested in and moved quickly through things we wanted to move quickly through. We were fed a traditional Dominicam buffet style lunch (which was a nice break from the resort food), and all of the locations we visited felt safe and secure. There were a lot of police patrolling over the area and many other group tours going on in the same area. In between all of the historical information we were given, both Franklin and Juan Carlos also gave us some insight into how the people of the Dominican Republic live. I love the history of places, but I love to know the culture of the people even more. The entire tour has been one of my favorite parts of this trip so far. Absolutely worth the price. Please bring a bag, plenty of cash for tipping, sunscreen, sunglasses, and good walking shoes.

Just book it. Stop hunting this is the one. - Today was an amazing full day in all aspects. Started early ant 8am and got back to the resort at 6pm but feel like I did a weeks worth of activities in that time as they were able to navigate us through and around any crowds or traffic in the way. Information was amazing and the guide (Jean Carlos “Johnny walker) as well as the driver (Franklin) were both very knowledgeable and accommodating. I felt as though they could communicate very well despite the language differences. Good conversation, laughing, all around great time highly recommended and will look forward to future interactions. Communication from business was amazing as well, there was no question on where when or who at any point. Got both the local side as well as the history from beginning to end. 5 stars to the entire team. Worth every penny for the private vip experience for just the 2 of us.

Long trip and interesting sites. - Overall, it was a great day seeing a lot of different sites in the safety of the tour group. My favorite was seeing the cenotes as it was quite exquisite and beautiful. We also walked drove around and walked around the streets of Santa Domingo being introduced to historical facts and points of interest. My main complaint was that it was quite a long day and could have been reduced with some better planning as we were initially picked up at 8am in a van and then after picking up a few more we waited at a gas station for a little while before embarking on a bus 2 hours later and then we were on our way, which took about another 2 hours before our first stop at the cenote. We arrived back at the hotel around 7:30pm. So be warned that there is a lot of driving involved.

It's okay but it's not the best - Pick-up at the hotel by transfer presented confusion. The journey is long but it is expected. Already in the city the tour was fine. Attention in the restaurant more or less. The guide very attentive, proper tour, important information. It's a very hot course, you have to be prepared.

Pros vs cons - Downside: *LARGE group (45+)- this made it difficult for the tour guide to keep track of everyone. * You spend more time on a bus than you do touring the city. * wish the tour guide talked about more of the history and used a microphone so everyone could hear what he was saying. Pros: * we did get to see some of the city and cenotes- despite it being beyond busy. Would probably not recommend or encourage doing a private tour.

Beware of the memento blow - The ride itself is good, but it's exhausting. We stopped in a store where they were selling souvenirs and felt that I was “stolen”, first that the seller was all the time behind me, according to the time to pass the box, she took me out of the box and passed me a value of 60 dollars for the purchase, but in the box passed a value in Dominican pesos that cost me 3,780.00 pesos that of the 378 kings. 378 reals for 4 cups and 2 souvenirs, it's absurd!
