- Igreja da Ordem Terceira do Carmo - Founded in Cachoeira in 1691, the Third Order of Carmel is nearly as old as the convent. Enjoy a walk along the cobblestones and the main square, stopping for photos. Entry is not permitted as the building is under restoration. Once restoration is complete, entry will be available for 10 BRL per person.
- Memorial of the Brotherhood of Our Lady of the Good Death - Visit an Afro-Catholic religious confraternity of black women, learning about their unique sorority that preserves many beliefs through the centuries.
