Access is via 4x4 vehicles, traversing sandy trails that make the journey an adventure in itself.

• Parque Nacional dos Lençóis Maranhenses - Explore one of Brazil’s most remarkable natural wonders: the Lençóis Maranhenses, a breathtaking landscape of endless white sand dunes interspersed with crystal-clear freshwater lagoons. Created by seasonal rains, these turquoise pools form a surreal scene that resembles a desert teeming with life. Spanning 155,000 hectares of protected parkland, the Lençóis offer unforgettable vistas, tranquility, and a unique bond with nature.

Visitors can explore the area by 4x4 vehicle, navigating dunes and riverbeds, or on foot along stunning trails that reveal hidden lagoons like Azul, Bonita, and Lagoa da Esperança. During the rainy season, from May to September, the lagoons reach their peak beauty, inviting travelers to swim in refreshing, calm waters surrounded by soft, untouched sand.

The nearby communities of Barreirinhas, Santo Amaro, and Atins enhance the experience, offering warm hospitality and delicious Northeastern cuisine.

The adventure kicks off at approximately 8:00 AM with a pickup in Barreirinhas, usually in a van. The journey to Santo Amaro lasts about 1 hour and 20 minutes until reaching the parking area, where a switch to a 4x4 vehicle occurs. From there, the entire experience unfolds with a guide, navigating sandy trails into the heart of the Lençóis Maranhenses.

In the morning, take a refreshing dip in one of the stunning crystal-clear lagoons. Following this, proceed to the village of Betânia for a delightful regional lunch and a chance to relax. In the afternoon, continue exploring the park with additional lagoon visits, enjoying tranquil swims surrounded by majestic white dunes.

The day concludes with a magical stop to witness the sunset—a breathtaking moment that paints the landscape in shades of gold and pink. After crossing the dunes, return to the same vehicle used in the morning, with an expected arrival in Barreirinhas around 8:00 PM.
