A great 7 hours in Santiago! - I had a wonderful layover tour with Fernando. We spent the day visiting Santiago's neighborhoods, learning about the nation's history and past and current politics which was of great interest to me. Fernando was a very accommodating guide and I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who is looking for a seamless tour to and from the airport!

A Quick Tour of Santiago before flying home! - From the very beginning of booking this tour Ignacio (the Viator contact) was in regular communication with me. Mauricio was our tour guide. He met us at the Santiago airport and was flexible in the tour start time as we were coming from a Viking cruise and were not sure what time we would be dropped off at the airport. We were about 45 minutes later than we had planned on. I was in constant contact with Mauricio so he knew our situation. Mauricio greeted us with a huge smile and very pleasant demeanor. Lovely, patient, kind man. We didn’t really know what we wanted to see so he was going to show us what he thought would be the highlights. As we were driving we mentioned we would like to visit a place where we could see local handicrafts. Mauricio took us to the perfect village with dozens of small shops filled with handmade local handicrafts. We were thrilled. Beautiful place with beautiful items. We drove through the newer part of the city, then went to the old section and walked to see the architecture. We then drove to the Fort and took fabulous pictures of the city. A lovely green space in the middle of the city. We drove to see the Presidents palace, the Court house, government buildings and the architecture was amazing!! It is a beautiful city and very clean. We were a little worried about getting back to the airport late so we ended the tour a bit early. Mauricio drove us to the airport and came in with us to help with our luggage and to check us in to Air Canada. I highly recommend this tour and if have Mauricio as your guide you won’t be disappointed.

Great whirlwind tour - I had a 12 hour stop over in Santiago and wanted to use my time well to see the city highlights. Pablo collected me from the airport exactly when and where described. He then took me around the city, showing me beautiful parks, historical buildings and stunning architecture. He also explained some of the rich history of the area. I was dropped off back at the airport with plenty of time to check back into my next flight. This was a seamless and interesting tour, a great little taste of Santiago and a nice way to stretch my legs in the sunshine between several long flights.

Fantastic!!! - Tour fantástico!!! Congratulations to our guide Pablo... The tour was great, we could get to know the historic center, the history of Santiago, but we tried the "complete", a hot dog typical of there... I recommend it to everyone, especially for those who are in transit at the airport for more than 8 hours. It was a great option to spend time and get to know the city.

5 Stars All The Way Around!! - ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had a 12-hour layover in Santiago and decided to make the most of it by booking a day tour with City Trekking Guide—and I’m so glad I did! This turned out to be one of the best tours I’ve ever experienced. Fernando was an outstanding guide—friendly, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable about the history, culture, and hidden gems of Santiago. He tailored the experience perfectly to fit the timeframe and made sure I saw all the highlights without feeling rushed. Whether you’re just passing through or staying longer, I highly recommend booking a tour with Fernando. It was the perfect way to connect with the city and make the most of my visit!

Best way to enjoy a layover in Santiago! - We were picked up right on time at the airport by Fernando, who was incredibly friendly and made us feel like we were spending the day with a local friend. We strolled through parks, learned about the city’s history, and soaked up the everyday vibe of Santiago. Something you just can't get from a guidebook and without a local. One of our favorite moments was stopping to try a delicious Chilean empanada with a local beer in "Barrio Bellavista" - simple, authentic, and so good. Way better than sitting around the airport. Highly recommended!

A relaxing outing in Santiago city centre - The communication with Ignacio leading up to the stopover tour was good and I was met on time at the airport. The tour lasted over six hours and was a really enjoyable experience. Most of the time was spent walking around the city centre enjoying the street vibe, murals, historic buildings and parks etc. Ignacio filled me in on key national historical events. We had a nice meal where I enjoyed some local dishes. Our tour ran into the early evening and we saw some entertaining buskers.

Relaxed time in Santiago CBD. - This was a relaxing and great way to visit a city for the first time. Fortunately I had plenty of time with a 9 hour stopover. I spent over six hours with Ignacio and we drove through several parts of Santiago, then walked around the CBD seeing the old historic buildings, lovely park areas and street vibe. We also stopped twice for a relaxed meal/drink. It was a weekday but a public holiday so busy in the parks. I would have liked to have gone up the vernicular to the statute of Mary but it was too busy.
