A different kind of experience - At first, the area feels calm and simple, but as the tour goes on, you start to see how much meaning is behind the art. The guide shared stories in a very natural and respectful way, making it easy to understand the deeper side of the murals. It’s a great mix of walking and learning.

Great way to get insights into Yungay’s colorful, meaningful street art - Héctor was an engaging and interesting guide through some fascinating parts of Santiago. With a lot of knowledge about Chilean society, politics and contemporary history, he’s capable of passing on extraordinary insights about a variety of artists who have graced the walls of the Yungay neighborhood. It was especially cool to stop into the gallery of two artists and chat over a cool beer. A thoroughly enjoyable couple of hours.

Highly Recommended!!! - My guide Hector is very energetic, knowledgeable & informative. It was really interesting to know about artists & the context/history behind the murals. The murals are really creative & beautiful, the Yungay neighborhood very charming. Hector also took us to several amazing restaurants that are very historic & look more like museums! After the trip, he even sent us his recommendations for food. I highly recommend everyone to sign up for this tour!!! (btw I had something to compare with as the next day I took another tour not with this agency to Valparaiso & it was meh... The guide was totally uninterested & did not give much information on the artists & murals.)

Excellent Art & History Tour of Barrio Yungay - This tour was excellent. I had previously walked around the barrio but missed some pieces. In particular, I didn't know about some of the massive pieces such as the one on the apartment tower. But especially valuable was the history and stories behind the art works--many derive from political and social challenges in the country. We saw some picturesque streets and restaurants too. I wondered where the "Yungay" came from and Hector explained that. Many thanks to Hector for a wonderful tour.

Culture and recent history in a real neighborhood of Santiago. - A lovely evening walking the Yungay neighborhood and learning about the recent history, art and culture of Chile with a local. Especially poignant given the political changes occurring here and around the world. I was able to add a few really cool restaurants and bars to my list for the future too.
