- Chilean National Museum of Fine Arts - First stop, the meeting point for the Walking Tour. Here, participants will delve into the origins, history, and architecture of the Museo Bellas Artes, learn about the figure of Benjamin Vicuna Mackena, explore Forestal Park, and understand the French influence during Chile’s development.
- Plaza de Armas - Second stop, where the origins of Plaza de Armas with the Inca settlement will be explored, along with its architecture, history, and significant figures during the Spanish invasions, such as Pedro de Valdivia and Ines de Suarez. The Mapuche resistance, led by Lautaro, will also be discussed, along with the main buildings and symbols around the square.
- Palacio de Tribunales de Justicia - Third stop, where the legislative and judicial power will be explored through the justice tribunal and former national congress. Participants will learn about political figures like Manuel Montt and Antonio Varas, the Compania de Jesus fire disaster in the 20th century, and the Pre-Columbian Museum (outside visit).
- Plaza de La Constitucion - Fourth stop, where more about the government palace “La Moneda” will be revealed, including its origin and architecture, the Coup d’état, Salvador Allende’s government, its fall, and the military government. The tour will explore presidential figures along Constitucion Square, Diego Portales, and symbols within this stop.
- San Francisco Church - Fifth stop, where participants will learn about San Francisco Church, the religious culture with its secular orders, native heritage, architecture, the Paris/Londres neighborhood, and Londres 38, a detention and torture center during the military government.
- Centro Cultural Gabriela Mistral GAM - Sixth stop, where the GAM or Centro Cultural Gabriela Mistral will be explored, including its history and purpose as a building, Gabriela Mistral’s history and legacy as a Nobel Prize winner, and the building’s use as an art expression during the 2019 Social Outbreak.
