Camacha - Nestled in the heart of Madeira Island, Camacha is a charming village in Santa Cruz, situated over 700 meters above sea level. It is renowned for its enduring traditions and folklore.

Pico do Arieiro - Part of the Central Mountain Massif, Pico do Arieiro is the third highest peak on Madeira Island, reaching an altitude of 1818 meters. It follows Pico Ruivo at 1861 meters and Pico das Torres at 1851 meters.

Ribeiro Frio - Located in the municipality of Santana, Ribeiro Frio is a place of stunning natural beauty, nestled in the heart of the Laurissilva Forest, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is home to trails like Levada do Furado, Serra, and Juncal.

Fortress of Faial - Faial is a parish in Santana, located on the picturesque North Coast of Madeira Island, at an elevation of about 219 meters. The name “Faial” is believed to come from the many beeches (Myrica faya) in the area. The town developed around an ancient chapel of Our Lady of the Nativity, originally built from a single large cedar trunk. The chapel was destroyed by the flow of the Ribeiras da Metade and Faial, and a new temple was constructed in 1771.

Santana - Situated on the lush north coast of Madeira Island, Santana is famous for its traditional triangular gabled houses with thatched roofs and wooden structures, painted in typical Madeiran colors of white, blue, and red.

Miradouro da Portela - Located in the parish of Santo da Serra at 670 meters altitude, between Porto da Cruz and Machico, this viewpoint offers a magnificent view of the mountains and the sea, including the parish of Porto da Cruz and Penha d´Águia.

Ponta de Sao Lourenco - São Lourenço is the easternmost peninsula of Madeira Island, showcasing a unique landscape compared to the rest of the island, known for its lush vegetation. It is a volcanic peninsula, mostly basaltic, with an arid appearance, undergrowth, and a lack of trees, contrasting with the island’s typical scenery.

West side of the island

Camara De Lobos - Câmara de Lobos is a picturesque city near the capital Funchal, known for its vibrant nightlife. One of the oldest and most historic places on Madeira Island, it owes its existence to fishing and agriculture. It was one of the first colonized areas on the island, thanks to the maritime accessibility of its pleasant bay, now home to a variety of colorful fishing vessels.

Cabo Girao - Situated to the west of Funchal on Madeira Island, Cabo Girão is an impressive promontory rising 580 meters above the sea. It is the highest promontory in Europe and the second highest in the world. From its viewpoint, visitors can enjoy a fabulous view of the vast Atlantic Ocean and the enchanting surroundings of Madeira Island, especially Câmara de Lobos and Funchal.

Ribeira Brava - One of the oldest parishes on Madeira Island, Ribeira Brava was established after Funchal and Machico, following the death of Prince Henry in 1460. It is centrally located, providing land access to the north of the island through the gorge of Serra de Agua and Encumeada, offering breathtaking panoramas. By sea, it was soon equipped with a small port for important freight connections to Funchal.

Caminho Real da Encumeada PR12 - At an altitude of 1007 meters, this viewpoint offers a stunning landscape over the north and south coasts of the island and the valleys of Ribeira Brava and São Vicente. The Boca da Encumeada viewpoint rises to 1007 meters, at the crest of the mountain range crossing the interior of Madeira, providing superb views of the deep valleys of Ribeira Brava (south coast) and São Vicente (north coast).

Porto Moniz - Porto Moniz is a picturesque village in the northern part of Madeira Island, known for its natural pools. It is one of the oldest towns in the north of the island, having been isolated for many centuries, accessible only by foot and sea. The charming road connecting Porto Moniz and São Vicente was built after World War II.

Seixal - Seixal is known for its tranquility and the beauty of its landscape, painted by the green of the mountains and the crystal blue of the sea.

Sao Vicente - São Vicente is a charming village on the enchanting north coast of Madeira Island, featuring landscapes of great natural beauty and a picturesque historical center. Nestled in a lovely valley surrounded by high marine limestone slopes, São Vicente captivates with its beauty and tranquility, highlighted by its remarkable group of caves formed from lava channels.
