Mike our instructor was so friendly and made our first time surfing an absolute blast!! Will definitely use Go Surf LA again next time we are in the area!

Mike was such a great teacher! My cousin and I both followed his step by step advice and successfully stood up within our first few tries. He inspired me to get a board and continue surfing. Highly recommend!

The instructor was unprepared—we waited about 20 minutes for him to put on his wetsuit while all students were ready. There was no secure place for our belongings; we were told to leave them in a random truck bed with no assurance of safety. The lesson lacked structure and key guidance. He gave no instruction on how to get past waves or what to do if caught in a rip current. He didn’t bring his own board and used my brother’s for a 10-minute demo, leaving him unable to practice. The instructor also spent much of the lesson caught in rip currents himself rather than helping students. Overall, it felt like we paid to rent equipment, not receive a proper lesson.
