Into the Heart of the Jungle

The anticipation was palpable as we gathered at the Expotur office in Santa Marta, ready to embark on the legendary Lost City Trek. As a biologist and environmental activist, the opportunity to explore the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, a region rich in biodiversity and cultural heritage, was a dream come true. Our journey began with a rugged 4x4 ride to the Mamey region, where the lush greenery of the jungle beckoned us to begin our trek.

The trail was challenging, weaving through dense jungle and across rivers, each step taking us deeper into the heart of this ancient land. The air was thick with the scent of earth and foliage, and the sounds of the jungle enveloped us in a symphony of life. Guided by Passionate Experts

Our guides were the true stars of the trek.
