Tailor made visit to Assisi- just what we needed - A Tailor-Made Tour to Assisi, St. Francis and new Saint of the Internet, Acutis✨ After three incredible weeks in Rome—first row seats at a papal audience, the canonization of two saints, all four holy doors, and all the usual sites in Rome—we thought we’d seen it all. But our guide, Ricardo Lucidi of RomaItaliaexplora, urged us to visit Assisi. It became the highlight of our trip. Ricardo arranged everything for us with Camilla. We were picked up at 7 AM in a very comfortable car driven by Luiggi, we arrived before the crowds and began at the Sanctuary of the Spogliazione, where we spent ample time in prayer before Blessed Carlo Acutis, the “saint of the internet.” It was deeply moving. From there, we walked through the narrow winding streets of Assisi, a beautifully preserved medieval town, with easy to walk cobblestone streets. It felt like a journey back in time. We explored Saint Claire’s church and her tomb, and the upper and lower Basilicas of St. Francis. Thanks to Ricardo’s expert guidance, we understood the breathtaking frescos made by Giotto and Cimabue, that depict the life of Saint Francis and heard stories of the enduring Franciscan spirit. He adjusted the walking pace to ours, making the hilly city easy to enjoy. We paused for a delicious lunch at Saint Francesco, a lovely restaurant with the freshest vegetables and local foods. We were overlooking Assisi and soaked in views of Umbria that rival Tuscany. This wasn’t just sightseeing—it was an experience tailored to us. Ricardo brought history to life, answered every question with depth, and made sure we never felt rushed. Unlike crowded bus tours, this private experience gave us space for reflection, prayer, learning, and moments that will stay with us forever. Standing before St. Francis, St. Clare, and St. Carlo Acutis was more than a visit; it was a journey into faith, beauty, and history. Even if you’re not Catholic, Assisi’s art, architecture, and views will take your breath away. The money you spend cannot compare to the memories you’ll carry and the incredible and moving examples of love for others that you take with you. If you want a once-in-a-lifetime experience—personal, spiritual, and unforgettable—choose RomaItaliaexplora and Ricardo Lucidi for your private tour of Assisi.

Fabulous, memorable time - Francesco, Daniella, and Luigi were all excellent. So helpful and knowledgeable. A great way to experience Assisi. Highly recommend. The more 'contemporary' religious things are perhaps more to the taste of each individual. But the history, the deeply knowledgeable guides and the excellent staff are not to be missed. Very high marks. And thank you to Francesco, Daniella and Luigi!
