- Playa La Entrega - Playa La Entrega is a historic beach where, in 1831, after being betrayed in Acapulco, the President of the Mexican Republic, General Vicente Guerrero, was handed over to military forces loyal to the rebellion’s authors and taken near Oaxaca City to be tried and executed. This beach is also renowned for its crystal-clear waters and coral reef. We will pause in front of “El Bufadero,” one of the highest blowholes in America, which sounds like a quake.
- Bahia de Cacaluta - Bahia de Cacaluta is a location where Mexican films like “Y tu mamá también” and various television commercials were filmed. From above, the beach resembles a heart or a bird in flight, depending on your imagination. Opposite is Cacaluta Island, where deer are occasionally seen swimming from the beach to graze on the island’s grass. This bay is part of the national park.
- Chachacual - Arrive at a completely untouched bay to visit “India” Beach, one of the region’s most beautiful spots. It’s an ideal place for swimming, snorkeling, and sunbathing with a cold beer in hand. Here, you can purchase a fresh coconut, either natural or with a twist.
- Bahia Maguey y el Organo - Bahia Maguey y el Organo are the first two bays we will explore within the national park. The untouched “Organo” bay is famous for an incredible stone face created by nature, known as “La Cara Mizteca.” The “Maguey” bay is named for the green color of its waters, reminiscent of the leaves of the cactus used to distill Tequila and Mezcal. We will stop for two hours to enjoy fresh seafood at a restaurant recommended by your guide. A specialty of the Huatulco coast is a pineapple stuffed with seafood. First, a pineapple is halved, the pulp is removed, and it is filled with a béchamel sauce and seafood of your choice. Cheese is sprinkled on top, and it is baked in a wood oven until gratin. Another specialty is the “four by four,” featuring 16 shrimp cooked in four different ways. There are also meat dishes or giant pizzas for those who prefer not to eat seafood.
