762P85G4+VXP - Our 2-hour lessons (minimum of 2 participants) stand out from other schools that offer only 90-minute sessions. Each lesson begins with a 10-minute land session where participants will learn, practice, and receive a safety briefing. Following this, there is a 45-minute to 1-hour session in the water, where participants will always be accompanied by their instructor to learn surfing. Afterward, there is a 10-minute break with fresh pineapple and ice water provided before heading back for the final hour of the lesson. With our top-notch instructors, who are among the best in Costa Rica, participants will be catching their own waves in no time and having a great time.
We welcome children as young as 4, and our instructors excel at working with kids. We’ve even had beginners as old as 75. Our secluded beach ensures a private experience, away from the crowded and rocky areas of Tamarindo (we are located just across from Tamarindo). The beach features a sandy walk-out with no rocks, making it ideal for beginners and offering excellent waves.
Our class sizes are limited to a maximum of 4 students per instructor, and we also offer semi-private and private lessons (inquire for details).

Success on the waves - We had a fun and successful surf lesson with Tim and Joelle. Almost all of us were able to get up during our first few tries. They were very patient and helpful in us getting the most out of our time. The banana bread, pineapple and ice water was also a nice treat halfway through!

A great Costa Rica experience!!! - We had a blast surfing with Tim and Joel! They picked us up and we had great conversation on the way to the beach. We had awesome instruction, caught some waves and enjoyed more great conversation on the way back to our place. This was a great addition to our Costa Rica experience. We will be back!!!

Bucket list ✅ - I normally SUP and have always wanted to surf a real wave in Costa Rica. Tim and his coach team were awesome. I got up several times! They took a bunch of photos I can’t wait to see -(A bit wider of a board and making sure they are not slick would be our only ask. ) absolutely loved it! Thanks y’all for helping me check this off the list!

Great time and fabulous instruction - Tim and the local instructors were fabulous, they spent the time to dry land train our 3 girls then spent the next 2 hours in the water with them. What a great experience

Highly recommended! - We went as a large group and 2 group sessions with Tim and his team. Every team member was very friendly and attentive most important gave the very clear and directly instruction to a lots of first time surfers. And snack was the high light of the day! Pineapple was super delicious! Our kids had a great time! The beach was stunning!

Mojo Surf Rocks 🤙🏾 - Had a great time with Mojo surf adventures. These guys are top notch. My 14 year old daughter and I who were brand new to surfing were able to learn. The beach was very secluded and it felt like we had it to ourselves. The waves were not big so it was perfect for us newbies but if you were looking for bigger waves they were right down the shore. Tim the owner set everything up he was super easy to deal with provided the boards and rash guards along with a mid lesson snack, His wife’s banana bread is amazing!! Dalgo our instructor was super patient, knowledgeable and had us surfing in no time. If you’re looking to learn how to surf this is it!!!

Super fun, relaxed and knowledgeable - I needed a refresher and my wife was a beginner. Tim and Johel were great! Safety first, followed by some fun chill vibes with a fresh-cut pineapple and homemade banana-bread break between sessions. Got some great photos as well. Wished we had started our vacation with them as they had loads of good advice re: local geography and food etc.

Outstanding Surf Lessons on a Beautiful Beach - We had the absolute best time surfing with Tim and his team through Mojo Surf Adventures. We are a family of 4 (adults mid 40s and two sons 10+12). 3/4 of us had done lessons before. The lessons were superb. Everyone got up. Tim and his wife were exceptional hosts with great snacks to keep us going. Would 100% recommend this activity. It was a highlight of our trip and the pictures provided afterwards will help us keep the memory alive!
