Great tour with Josué - Josué did an excellent job, we had a blast and he clearly went above and beyond to make sure our tour learned about El Salvador and really enjoyed our experience. Communication was clear, pickup and drop off were straightforward.

Beautiful day trip from San Salvador - Nice day trip to the volcano. Our guide told us some interesting facts about the surroundings and nature. The length bd speed of the tour is adjusted to the participants ubd their condition. My tip: Be sure to choose an early tour so that it is not so crowded on the volcano.

Wonderful experience…try to get Diego as your guide - Diego Gomez was our guide for the day. From the start, he kept us interested during the pickups and drive out to the volcano with well-delivered information about El Salvador. He answered any questions we had along the way. The traffic in El Salvador is very bad so be aware that you will shave hours off your time in the shuttle if you get picked up in El Salvador instead of El Zonte or other outlying region. Diego timed stops along the hike to point out trees, birds and certain plants that make their home on the side of the volcano. We were lucky to be able to summit the volcano in good weather. Diego patiently took many photos of each member of the group at the 3 lookouts and at the summit. Incredible views at the top! Do not miss otherworldly color of the water in the crater at the summit. Afterwards we enjoyed a wonderful lunch overlooking the lake. All in all very worth it.

Santa ana volcano hiking and lake coatespeque - I was not taken to lake coatepeque at all. We were shown the lake from above from a restaurant at which tour guide stopped for lunch from where there was a view of the lake. Also the guide was in a kind of rush while hiking that put immense pressure on older tourists to catch up with him.

This is a... - This is a moderate-difficult hike. There is an elevation and part of the hike is all rock so if you don’t have good balance it could be difficult. Would not be great for those in their 70’s or 80’s or very young children. I’m in shape and had no problem. Group was too large. We had to keep stopping and waiting. Tour guide not very informative and didn’t add much to the experience. Beautiful at the top. Lunch was ok. Everyone is taken to one restaurant overlooking the lake. Food not great. View pretty but not amazing.

Do Not Use - DO NOT USE. Avoid at all costs!!! There are plenty of reputable tour operators in El Salvador but this is not one of them. I booked a tour and paid $95 for a 7am hotel pick-up. These were time and location choices provided by the tour operator at the time of registration. Some guy named Francis sends a Viator ( third booking agent) application message the night before and changes pick up time to 6:10 after we go to sleep. We were left at the hotel and lost a vacation day. Requested a refund from both the tour operator and Viator booking agent which was denied because they sent a message on this obscure Viator messaging application. They were not apologetic nor took any accountability. Told me it was my fault. Fraud complaints were filed with the bank which stated they were familiar with the name. Buyers beware!
