Definitely worth seeing! - We met Azrien - initially our taxi driver, now friend, by chance and he recommended this trip and it was amazing. If you want a chilled evening to catch the sunset with dinner sorted after, this is the tour to pick. Transport is sorted as well just whatsapp Azrien ( +60 13‑797 9018‬) and he’ll easily sort it out for you with a special price. We went as a group of four and it was smooth sailing. Managed to see proboscis monkeys, local macaques and even eagles!! The tour guide was also funny and you can’t go wrong with the local dinner.

nice boat trip on the river - Mangrove cruise was really nice. it was nice to be on the river in the dark. we actually got to see the fireflies this time. we tried to see them in Kuala Selangor but we saw nothing. the food was very nice. Crocodile and fireflies - Our Mangrove cruise was fantastic. Thanks to Abdul, our travel manager (+60 11-1669 5114), we saw a crocodile, a lots of fireflies and all was incredible.

Great experience - book through Abdul - Amazing experience, really enjoyed it! Got to see crocs, the fireflies & other great wildlife. The families are so nice and the homecooked meal was amazing. Fireflies + more! Book with Abdul - +60 11-1669 5114 - Book with Abdul! - +60 11-1669 5114 Found Abdul’s number on trip advisor and messaged him on WhatsApp, originally planned to try to visit the Gomantong Caves, but he informed us it was quite far so we instead asked if the Firefly Cruise was available and he was able to book it for us on exactly the day we needed. Picked us up from our hotel, we had tea and cakes before the cruise where we managed to see some probiscis monkeys, macaques and a 2m crocodile only a few metres from our boat which was incredible! We stopped on a small beach for sunset and we’re shown a group of hermit crabs which was very cool - all these extra animals were an added bonus we didn’t expect. Then as it got dark we saw the fireflies, we must’ve seen at least 4 trees full of them, and they were amazing to see. Another bonus - we managed to see some glowing plankton in the water next to our boat. We then returned to the dock and ate a delicious curry, home cooked by one of the local people in the village next to the river. Abdul was so lovely and everyone else who came on the tour were too, Abdul even arranged for our airport transfer the next day! A pleasure to meet him and nice to take a trip that was more locally run, rather than through a bigger company.

Wonderful experience of cruise fireflies and crocodiles - Wonderful experience that we can explore the fireflies, and crocodiles. we cruise in the night to find the beautiful fireflies and also we have found a 1.5meters crocodiles. Also the island area that we take a rest has also a good view. Dinner is delicious and staff is patient, introducing us information about animals, plants. Our guide Azrien is kind and responsible, Nice experience !

Do not book! - The tour guide did not show up! Viator have refunded us so no issue with them, but do not book this tour. If you want to do it, all of the grab drivers seem to know people who do a similar tour and you can pay in person when they show up. We sadly couldn’t do this because we waited for too long for the guide to show up and then all the other tours had already departed. A real shame!
