Amazing trip to Norwegian fjords - My husband and I did the 4 day kayak and hiking trip to Lysefjord staying in cabin accommodation. Nordic paddling were excellent and well organised. We were expecting to be part of a small group however it ended up being just the two of us ! We have the whole cabin to ourselves which was amazing. The cabin was very comfortable. Our guide was Tuure who was a very passionate about his work and ensuring that we felt comfortable and enjoyed our trip. I really couldn’t fault the trip and would highly recommend it if you are looking for an active holiday

Unbelievable kayak and hike experience - A truly wonderful experience. We had lots of different weather, yet we managed all of the kayaking and the pulpit rock hike as Sini navigated the weather forecast so we could get the best from our trip. The views were unbelievable. Sini created a calm, efficient experience for us, she is a very experienced, knowledgable and friendly guide. I would thoroughly recommend this trip.

Fantastic kayaking and hiking - We had an amazing trip with like minded people. The lodge was in an amazing location right on the edge of the fjord. It is set on a farm over 2 floors. The outlook was amazing, the food was great and as veggies we were well catered for. The first afternoon was showing the group how to kayak which for me was a little slow as I'd kayaked before, but it was well catered for those who hadn't, and I still enjoyed myself. We had fun splashing around the safe sheltered part of the fyord, right by our accommodation, which helped with the groups confidence. The full days kayaking on day 2 was just gorgeous with incredible views. The hike up Vikastakken offered fantastic views. There was more scrambling than I expected and it tested my "moderate fitness level", but we all managed it safely and enjoyably. A couple of us used hiking poles which definitely came in handy. Use of a water bladder I found useful too, rather than using water bottles. Our guide for the duration was Sini who was just lovely. She showed us many plants which could be used for cooking. I would definitely recommend this tour. If you're a well experienced kayaker and expecting a challenging technical days kayak then you won't get this, but if you're expecting amazing views, you won't be disappointed! If you've never kayaked and worry you won't know what to do, you can put those worries to bed, as the teaching is all there. Just book and enjoy the amazing experience and views! We have left having met some lovely people, spent time away in a fantastic location and taken away some great memories. This trip is definitely up there as a truly great trip. Thank you Sini for your love and patience

Perfect way to see stunning Norway, would highly recommend this trip. - What a perfect trip! I’ve wanted to go to Norway, but too young (IMHO), to cruise, too old to wild camp, so after some research found this trip, which ticked the boxes and boy did it do this. I have to be honest, I was nervous and excited, but our fabulous, (beyond her years), guide Sini, quickly put everyone at ease. The kayaking was great; a gentle yet important first day, with safety being an important factor. The long day, was stunning and I’m not sure I stopped smiling. The hike was hard, but what a view from the top and a huge sense of achievement for completing it. The cabin was a pinch yourself moment. It was truly idyllic and you would never tire of that view. Sini was so passionate for nature and appreciating our surroundings. We learnt about wildlife and foraged for herbs for salads; just amazing. Food was great and everyone joined in. The traditional meal cooked by the fire will be a memory for life. We were blessed with beautiful weather and an English ⚽️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿victory; sorry Eric and Norway. The only feedback would be to change the packing list to a less generic one and perhaps more seasonal? Nobody wants to be cold, but thermals or our head torches did not come out of our bags! Nordic- hold onto Sini, she’s certainly an asset to your company and helped make our holiday (together with our fab guests), such a memorable holiday. Thank you.

Nordic Paddling - the best way to see the fjord is from a kayak!!! - Amazing opportunity to experience the fjord from sea-level with Nordic Paddling! I was thankful for our guide's excellent preparation, instructions and expertise. I had not kayaked much before, but I had great confidence in her leadership on the water to keep us safe and to help us have a great experience. It was incredible to see nature so up close - seals, waterfalls, birds - and to experience the grandeur of the mountains surrounding us on the water. Practical details: No need for a swimsuit - rather wear clothes that can get lightly wet from splashing of your paddle. It was a sunny, warm day, and I wore a long sleeve base layer and it was perfect. Shorts or leggings on bottom are good, and ideally water shoes, but I went barefoot inside kayak because I had not packed any shoes that I wanted to get soaking wet when we got in & out of kayak at start & finish. Sadly, we did not take our phones out on the kayak with us because we had not brought a protective bag for them, but it would have been fine to tuck them into a zippered pocket in our life vest. We missed a lot of amazing photo opportunities! It is quite a lot of paddling - be sure that you are up for 3 hours of exercise when you begin. Eat & drink before you arrive. The meeting place is quite remote with no places along the way for a quick meal. Also, allow extra time to get there as the meeting place is down along a precarious narrow road.
