After receiving the security briefing, participants will embark on a journey with our guide along a 3 km (2 mile) trail. The path leads through reforested areas and private farms, culminating at the Pino Blanco Waterfall lookout.

During the trek, participants will marvel at the lush vegetation of the mature forests along the La Fortuna River, traverse the exhilarating hanging bridge, and encounter various frogs, toucans, insects, and monkeys that inhabit the area.

Upon reaching the stunning La Fortuna Waterfall and river, there will be opportunities to take photographs, enjoy a refreshing swim, or simply relax and appreciate the breeze and the breathtaking river canyon, which towers over 100 meters (320 ft.) high.

The return journey follows the same trail back to the reception area, offering another chance to admire the beautiful Pino Blanco Waterfall.

On the way back, there is an opportunity to visit the Maleku Indian Cultural Rescue Center. This small, representative project provides insights into the traditional dress, culture, crafts, beliefs, and language of Costa Rica’s cultural ancestors.

No prior horseback riding experience is required for this thrilling adventure. Guides will offer basic riding instructions and instill confidence in participants. Our healthy and gentle horses ensure a delightful ride.
