They arrived to pick us... - They arrived to pick us up slightly ahead of schedule (which is definitely better than being late) and were great. They got us to the trailhead in good time and we were some of the first people at the summit, so we had the place to ourselves for a little bit. Great guides and a great experience.

Nice guided hike for sunrise - Enjoyed this sunrise hike experience. The day before the event the agency provided a pickup time (4:10am for us from our Airbnb outside San Marcos in early January) and the driver/guide were on time to get us. The hike is only about 30min, so while it’s pretty steep uphill it’s short. At the top there are a bunch of benches and there were probably around 100 people by the time the sun rose. Coffee and hot chocolate were provided. On the way back, our guide stopped in town for us to grab cash from an ATM which was appreciated.

10/10, must do it - An absolute must-do if staying around Lake Atitlan. We stayed in San Pedro and the tour company picked us up in a convenient location near our Airbnb. Francisco was our guide and he was very accommodating. The hike is not easy, you are more or less climbing up an infinite flight of stairs, but it is well worth it. The tour company also dropped us off at the same convenient location after the hike was over.

Amazing Sunrise Tour - Francisco was incredible, he provided tons of insight about Lake Atitlan and was very helpful with answering any questions me and my partner had during the hike! He also had an incredible pace for our group doing such an early hike. The views were incredible and the pick up and drop off were clear and easy to follow! Couldn’t recommend this tour enough, if you’re lucky enough to get Francisco as a guide make sure to ask him about his art Gallery as well, so you can pay him a visit there after your hike, and view his incredible work!

Set that alarm clock, you’ll be impressed - ¡Guau! Wow! Definitely worth the early wake up. Safe driving by Jeffrey, nice little breaks on the steep step section and relaxed descent. We had clear skies and watched Fuego erupt frequently so got some great shots and memories. Best thing at the lake so far!

Amazing Views - Amazing views! The guides are kind and full of information. The climb up is fairly steep - though not hard to walk, it seemed to tire out many people who were going. That said, it was incredibly well worth it!

Late pickup & nauseating drive to trailhead - We were told the pickup time was at 3:50am at our designated location. This was confirmed via phone call the day before. The morning of, we waited at our pickup spot but the bus didn’t arrive until 4:20am. There was no communication except for a “sorry for the delay, we will be there in 7mins” text at 4:13am. Since the pickup was late, the drive up to the trailhead was very nauseating as it was obvious that the guide was trying to make up time. We were being whipped back and forth in the van going up windy mountain roads, and I felt so dizzy and nauseous when I got off the bus. After the tour, we were chatting with other visitors in our hostel and they told us that they booked directly with a local tour group (you will see lots of those walking around town) who picked them up on time and paid 1/3 of the price of this tour.
