The tour will commence with a departure from the hotel towards the Cordillera de la Sal in the Atacama Desert, renowned as the driest place on Earth, heading to one of its most scenic spots. The names themselves hint at the landscape, where rock formations sculpted by erosion, salt crusts, and views that evoke an otherworldly feel dominate. The tour will traverse the valley, visiting its iconic rock formations, and conclude with a sunset view from a natural lookout. Here, the desert’s colors transform, with towering volcanoes on the horizon, creating a breathtaking spectacle. -
Lagunas Escondidas - The tour will set off from San Pedro de Atacama heading southeast. The journey will take an hour, showcasing the desert landscape’s color variations. Upon arrival at the entrance to the hidden lagoons of Baltinache, there will be an opportunity to use the restrooms before continuing. The path will lead through the seven lagoons that form this stunning landscape, with only the first and last suitable for bathing. Due to their high salt content, visitors can experience a floating sensation akin to the Dead Sea. After exploring this attraction in the heart of the Atacama Desert, the return journey will begin, stopping at the entrance facilities to use the restrooms and showers to wash off the lagoon’s salt. On the way back, the sunset over the desert will be admired before reaching the center of San Pedro de Atacama.
