A lot of food and history rolled into one! - Dwayne was an excellent tour guide. This tour was not only about the food but also a really good breakdown of the history of Belize and more specifically, San Pedro. One piece of advice - come hungry!

Food & history...great combination! - Our tour guide Dwayne was amazing. He was so personable and easy going. His knowledge of the Belizean history, including dates, was unbelievable. Dwayne actually made history interesting. Initially we were skeptical about a 2 1/2 hr walking tour, but the time was well spent. There's so much food included in this tour, we had food to go. Come hungry!

Best Food Tour of San Pedro! - If I could give Dwayne more than five stars, I would. Seriously. From the second we met him, you could tell this wasn’t going to be one of those cookie-cutter, touristy food tours. Dwayne knows Belize like it’s his own kitchen, and every stop felt like we were being let in on a local secret. Not the “this is popular on TripAdvisor” kind… the real, tucked-away, where-the-locals-actually-eat kind. The food was incredible, but what really stood out was everything in between. Dwayne casually wove in the history of the island throughout the tour, and it honestly felt like a bonus experience we didn’t even expect. It never felt like a lecture, just really interesting stories and context that made everything make more sense. You’re not just eating, you’re understanding what you’re eating, where it comes from, and why it matters here. It made the whole experience feel super authentic and kind of special. He’s upbeat, easy to talk to, and somehow keeps everything moving without ever making it feel rushed. Just a really good vibe the entire time. If you’re even thinking about doing a food tour in Belize, ask for Dwayne. Five stars all day. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Would Book Again - We took our tour with Dwayne. It was a hot morning, but he led us to shade as often as possible, explaining the history of Belize. We had delicious food - not small samples, mind you, but full size orders. Everything was amazing. Thank you Dwayne!

Belizean Food Tours with Norma led a fantastic food tour today!!!! - We had a really enjoyable time with Norma leading six of us around San Pedro feasting on chicken with beans and rice (best I’ve had so far in Belize!). We had fry jacks:one savory and one with powdered sugar and honey- so delicious! We stopped at a coffee and cigar spot and learned about and sampled different rum creams to add to drinks or coffee! Stopped by a chocolate shop and sampled chocolates!! Stopped by a place known for its fire oven room and sampled conch fritters and some other tasty appetizer! It was wonderful! We would never have known what was a good place and what to avoid! It was a great way to spend from 11-1pm! Also great exposure to good souvenirs to bring back home!!! Norma was fun and knows all the owners and their stories which made it even more meaningful! Book it!!

Absolutely Worth It - Absolutely worth it. This food and history tour of San Pedro was a highlight of our trip. Duane was fantastic—knowledgeable, engaging, and clearly passionate about the area. We stopped at 4–5 local spots, and every single bite was incredible. Fair warning: the portions are massive. No human can possibly eat everything you’re given (and that’s not a complaint). You’ll definitely be taking food home—and you’ll be happy about it because it’s that good. It’s worth every penny and a perfect way to get a lay of the land, discover great local places, and understand the history behind them. I’d recommend doing this early in your trip.

Do this tour!! You will not regret it - Due to an inner ear issue right before we traveled to Belize, I had to cancel all of my water excursions, snorkeling, diving, etc. I was a little sad as I sent my husband off to do these things, but I knew I would find something that I liked. Since I am a foodie, I looked for some that would be interesting and part of the local culture. I lucked out by booking this tour. I had the most amazing time on my own little vacation in Belize and thanks to this very fun and informative food and history tour, I had a blast! I tasted some of the best local food ever. We were a small group of just three people so we got a lot of attention and our tour guide, gosh I wish I could remember his name. It started with a D I believe, young man of about 28 years old was excellent! He was so engaged and knowledgeable. And answered every single question that we could’ve had. He really made us feel part of the culture. I would highly highly recommend doing this when you are in Belize. Even if I was able to do water sports on my next trip, I would still do this tour again. If I could give more than five stars, I would.!!!! oh and do not eat before you come. You will get plenty of food and even some to take with you!!

Good but expensive - Interesting history lesson. Food was good, but I found the tour rather expensive at $75 per person. The food we had cost around $20 US if you were to buy it without the guide.
