Absolutely Worth It - Absolutely worth it.
This food and history tour of San Pedro was a highlight of our trip. Duane was fantastic—knowledgeable, engaging, and clearly passionate about the area. We stopped at 4–5 local spots, and every single bite was incredible.
Fair warning: the portions are massive. No human can possibly eat everything you’re given (and that’s not a complaint). You’ll definitely be taking food home—and you’ll be happy about it because it’s that good.
It’s worth every penny and a perfect way to get a lay of the land, discover great local places, and understand the history behind them. I’d recommend doing this early in your trip.

Do this tour!! You will not regret it - Due to an inner ear issue right before we traveled to Belize, I had to cancel all of my water excursions, snorkeling, diving, etc. I was a little sad as I sent my husband off to do these things, but I knew I would find something that I liked. Since I am a foodie, I looked for some that would be interesting and part of the local culture. I lucked out by booking this tour. I had the most amazing time on my own little vacation in Belize and thanks to this very fun and informative food and history tour, I had a blast! I tasted some of the best local food ever. We were a small group of just three people so we got a lot of attention and our tour guide, gosh I wish I could remember his name. It started with a D I believe, young man of about 28 years old was excellent! He was so engaged and knowledgeable. And answered every single question that we could’ve had. He really made us feel part of the culture. I would highly highly recommend doing this when you are in Belize. Even if I was able to do water sports on my next trip, I would still do this tour again. If I could give more than five stars, I would.!!!! oh and do not eat before you come. You will get plenty of food and even some to take with you!!

Must do food tour if you come to San Pedro! - Dwayne was an excellent tour guide. He’s friendly and very knowledgeable about the island and its history. The food was all great but the highlight for us were the fry jacks at Neri’s Tacos and the chocolate from Belize Chocolate Company. We tried a lot of dishes we wouldn’t have even known to ask for were it not for the tour. Highly recommended!

Go hungry! - My advice is to go hungry! We stopped at many local restaurants in the old town of San Pedro to sample some amazing dishes. We started with Fry Jack and tacos at Neri’s, sampled conch soup at Sweet Tutz & Delight and ended the tour at the chocolate factory. Our guide Duane was very knowledgeable about the history of Belize and Ambergris Caye, which he shared with us as we walked from restaurant to restaurant. We could not consume all the food on our tour and left with enough food for two more meals! Highly recommend this tour to enjoy food like a local!

Go hungry! - This was a great tour around San Pedro’s old town. Our tour guide Duane, was very knowledgeable about the history of Belize and Ambergris Caye and shared it with us as we walked to the different restaurants. All the food stops were for local foods that were delicious. There was way more food than we could consume and like the other reviewers, we took about half of it home! Highlights were the Fry Jack and the conch soup!

Worth every penny!!!! - This tour was great. Most food tours you only get small samples, but we got minimum appetizer size portions at every stop. I think our tour guides name was Dwayne and he was great giving the history as we walked. Very short walking tour as well, all spots were short distances from each other which is great. It was a great mix of restaurants and street food and we also stopped at a couple places to shop. By the time we got to the chocolate factory for dessert, I was stuffed. 10/10 highly recommend. Good eats, shopping and history all in one tour was perfection. Plus we got to take pics at the san pedro sign.

Good but expensive - Interesting history lesson. Food was good, but I found the tour rather expensive at $75 per person. The food we had cost around $20 US if you were to buy it without the guide.
