Cozumel Cultural Tour With Javier - This was the best trip of our holiday. Our guide Javier Bacab was simply the best. He was a great character, full of enthusiasm and humour. The whole island seemed to know and love him!! We packed such a lot into the trip; it really had everything. From fascinating Myan ruins to tequila tasting, cenote swimming and snorkeling off a lovely beach club. This experience was such a great way to finish our holiday. We would thoroughly recommend this trip. Thank you Javier.

Amazing Day! - 6 Stars, really above and beyond! What an amazing day in Cozumel. Tour guide greeted us with "Welcome Family" and that is exactly how he treated us. Felt like we were getting a wonderful tour from our favorite uncle. Informative, kind, flexible, patient (traveling with my 88yo mom), and really listened. Went above and beyond to share not only Cozumel facts, but his life and learn about ours. Tour was a great mix of activities.

Santiago is incredible! A must do tour! - Santiago was a truly incredible tour guide! As a native to cozumel he is so knowledgeable about the island and history. He filled our entire day with a stream of interesting facts about the island and pointed out landmarks and nature sightings throughout our drive. Our favorite parts of the day were when he stopped by some of his favorite local places and introduced us to areas of the island that we would have never gone by ourselves. Our only regret for the day was that we booked this tour for the last day of our trip. If I could do it again I would book this for early in our trip so we could take advantage of Santiago's many recommendations for other fun things to do on cozumel! We will definitely book another tour with him when we return to cozumel!

Great overview for those interested in Cozumel history and the archeological park with Mayan ruins - Santiago our guide was super. He readily accommodated what our interests. He was informative about Mayan local history as well as the sites and origins of Cozumel. A careful driver as we toured both coasts He made the excursion very pleasurable

Tour was fun. - Our tour guide was Greg. He is very knowledgeable about the history of Cozumel and really North America. This made the excursion so much better than just seeing things. He taught us many things and made us appreciate the land and culture so much more. The tequila and chocolate “breakfast” was a great start and our lunch on the beach was the perfect ending. Highly recommend. Also, a shout out to Viator and the tour company for helping us out first thing in the morning. Communication was excellent.

Great Means of Private Transportation, but Overall Tour Fell Flat - We were very excited for this experience but it ended up falling a little flat with our group. We had a party of 12 (6 adults 6 kids) and while it was VERY convenient to have the flexibility of a private tour, that is kind of where it ended. Our tour guide was very sweet and helpful, but it was mostly just a means of transportation. The long car rides from place to place were VERY silent ... she did not provide any background or history into where we were going or doing. There were 45 minute long stretches of silence in the car where it would have been GREAT to have some interaction (especially for the kids). We picked this tour based on the amazing reviews but as with a lot of things, it seems that the experience is very dependent on the guide. The guides I see typically mentioned over and over in the reviews was not one of our guides. In addition, the day got off to a very rough and frustrating start as our party of 12 was at the confirmed meeting point by 845am for our 9am start. This particular meeting point was confirmed MULTIPLE times with the tour through Viator. By 915 they were not there, and Viator was unable to reach them. We were about to cancel and FINALLY they found us, and they had been waiting at a totally different meeting point. When I told them that we had agreed on this one, they weren't really all that apologetic and just said they typically use the other meeting point too. That would have been great to know ... and I showed them the multiple messages indicating where the tour wanted us to meet. We had high expectations based on the reviews, but we will likely not do this again if ever in Cozumel.
