A fun family experience - Otoch was an amazing experience, Bernice was our guide and she was amazing. We just went on our own no tour guide. Park alongside the road and just walk through the gate. Tequila tasting was amazing, and conchanita tacos where great.

Excursion Group Visit - Stopped here as part of a cruise excursion we booked. The guide, Bernice, did a good job as well as the fire dancers. The tequila sampling was presented well but I would do your own review before deciding to purchase any. Everyone was very pleasant but I felt overall it was more an experience of trying to be sold their products.

Tourist trap - nice products, but overpriced, and not really a cultural experience - While we were treated with respect and kindness, and we did enjoy the tequila tasting (the tequila genuinely is very good, and I barely drink), frankly, it was just a series of small stores... Tourist trap - beware! We did not see a show (we seemed to arrive right as one finished and by the time we left about a half hour later there hadn't been a second one), and we did not do any of the classes or cooking. Tequila isn't even made in this part of Mexico - it all comes from Jalisco!

Overpriced Sales Pitch - Don't bother unless you really want to drink tequila, then have the willpower not to buy any. You pay $17 for a brief Mayan dance and a small amount of food. The rest is a sales pitch. The honey is overpriced. The tequila is VERY overpriced, and the sales guy lied to us about the cost. Some members of our group were overcharged about $29/bottle.

Not what was advertised... - Not what was advertised on your web site . Did not go to Hacienda, no time for shopping , van had no air conditioning . Spent more time in van driving than actually seeing anything . Only good thing was Claudio our guide otherwise very disappointing.

Tour itself was good the stop was not! - Don’t fall for the tequila selling tactics! Drink the samples and LEAVE. They wrap the bottles for a reason!!! We dumb Americans, but hopefully you have a CC company that will work with you to STIFF them back!

A terrible experience and a ripoff. - The Otoch Mayan Experience was an incredible ripoff and truly terrible. The “tequila tasting” was the particularly terrible. After the explanation of tequila, the several varieties were introduced and one by one a small medicine sized cup was handed to everyone. I do not drink but I observed the process. The dozen or so who did drink were asked to chug and get ready for the next, ultimately sampling 6 or so varieties within ten minutes. Just enough tequila and enough time to get people tipsy if not drunk.. Then off to the order area. People placed their orders which were brought . out, double wrapped in cardboard and plastic so one could not see the bottles. As our group was part of a shore excursion from a cruise ship, the ship, took the tequila people had bought until the cruise ended. Upon returning home, the several different types of tequilas (4 in our case) revealed a rather startling indication of alcohol content, the highest being 38% and the others being 14%. I doubt is these held the same alcohol content as those sampled. All in all, it was in my opinion a Mayan “ bait and switch”. I wouldn’t even recommend this tour to an enemy.
