Avoid applying sunscreen immediately before or during the tour; ‘reef safe’ or ‘coral safe’ sunscreens only reduce damage and are not proven to be completely harmless to marine life. Many sunscreens also create slippery surfaces, which can be hazardous on our boats. Instead, we recommend wearing a long sleeve rash vest and a hat.
