Great and easy dive - The Overall experience was great. Our guide Dani did a great job and showed us some cool wildlife. The dive is super easy especially if you are certified like myself. Even for uncertified divers it is not to hard. The visibility is pretty solid and they do offer a photo package which is super cool.

Fantastic experience! - Outstanding! This was not my first dive but it was a refresher. I had so much fun I booked a second dive to again right after the first and the instructor was happy to take me again. Will definitely use MJ Dive again when in Cozumel!!

This was one of the best... - This was one of the best experiences I have ever had .. I have no prior experience ( my husband is certified) but I jumped right in and had a blast .. Daniel was was my instructor and he was extremely patient with me .

Scuba in Cozumel - The dive was great. I'm glad we did the early dive because it was just my wife and I. Water was crystal clear. My only complaint would be the speed of the dive. I like a little slower pace. But other than that it was amazing.

My First Scuba Dive at MJ's Dive Shop in Cozumel - My husband and I booked this dive experience because it was my 1st time scuba diving and it is basically a "welcome to scuba / first lesson" type of dive, no previous certification needed. My husband had learned to dive as a teenager (5 decades / 50 years ago!!), so this was a nice and easy refresher for him. MJ's Dive Shop was extremely knowledgeable and very helpful; Angel was our instructor and he lives up to his previous reviews! He gave a very thorough overview of all the equipment - he covered everything from mask to fins, how to fit it properly, what signals to make to indicate "okay, up / down, problem" and how to regulate our breathing. Angel made sure we were both very comfortable in the water wearing our equipment, then took us down to the ocean floor to view the most amazing sea creatures. We saw several statues with large schools of brightly colored fish resting nearby; we saw rock lobsters (very large lobsters hiding in very large rocks), we saw many conch shells of various sizes (one even had a hermit crab inside), we played with puffer fish, we saw very many small but bright & beautiful fish, and so many other beautiful creatures that I can't quite describe - this was just a fantastic experience that I highly recommend! After about 15 minutes in the water, one of the other instructors with a camera came to join us (sorry, forgot his name); the photos and videos are beautiful, and you can buy them individually or buy the whole set. The quality is professional, the pricing is unbeatable; we bought the whole set, they were transferred directly to our phones and he had us look at all the photos & videos before we left to make sure we were happy with the quality. Our tickets included all day access to the rest of Chankanaab National Park, freedom to stay and snorkel after the dive if we wished, 1 free drink at the bar behind MJ's Dive Shop, access to showers after the dive, all the dive equipment (mask, fins, weights, vest and tank) with an instructor, and a locker for our valuables. There is an $11 per person fee upon arrival (we paid in cash) to help protect the marine life. Tips are welcome but not required.

Thanks Alex for an unforgettable dive experience !!! - My girlfriend and I did a discovery dive with Alex Bazan who works out of Scuba Dive Shop #7 at the Chankanaab Park. A discovery dive is a controlled scuba dive in about 25 ft of water with an experienced diver right there by your side. It’s for inexperienced folks who want to experience what scuba diving is like in a safe environment. What an AWESOME experience and Alex was so AMAZING and took such good care of us. From making sure all of our equipment fit properly; to making sure we knew how to use it. He explained things so clearly and was so easy to understand. Once in the water he made us feel so comfortable and at ease. He led us all over the park. We saw lobsters, eels, lots of colorful fish. He even took us through a small cave which was INCREDIBLE; and took pictures of us as we posed next to some underwater statues. I was blown away by the experience and highly recommend this experience to all non-divers or beginner divers. My girlfriend and I loved it. In fact, she now wants to get certified, And, definitely ask for Alex. He made the whole experience from beginning to end an unforgettable experience and one we’ll remember for a lifetime. Angel was the best guide.... - Angel was the best guide. This was my first time diving, I was having insane anxiety and had a bit of a panic attack first getting in the water. But he was able to immediately calm my anxiety and help me get comfortable with being under water and breathing through the regulator. He walked me through everything again and went at my pace. He was a god send. Without him I would not have been able to dive. Thank you friend. Couldn’t recommend him and his team anymore.

A great relaxing dive experience! - A wonderful shallow dive in the Chankanaab park. Juan was an excellent instructor & divemaster! He kept a calm watchful eye on us students. Activity also includes beach time, snorkel time, and sea lion show in the park. I recommend this activity with MJ diving!
