A Great Experience in San Miguel - What a great time! I highly recommend this tour. The food and drink choices were on point. Each stop was better than the one before. I can’t say enough about our tour guide. Sam is amazing - so knowledgeable about the food and the area. And, we were never rushed. It was like spending an evening with friends. More than expected. Very satisfied. 100 out of 100!! - Omar is a great story teller!! I decided to book this tour for my two friends and I and it was more than I expected. We all enjoyed the history intertwined with the scenic views, overall atmosphere & food that were on our stops. Omar did a wonderful job of not just telling the properties of the liquor we were sampling, but also of the food, the history of the building and owners, the history of the town along with some tales of dogs and their connection to the natives. Omar kept up a lively tale, without talking too much. You can tell that he has a well-balanced way of doing this as if he is weaving a dance with us; we were are all his Partners. Omar engaged with each of us in different ways, without putting too much spotlight or pressure on any of us. We were absolutely stuffed by the end of the tour. We PERSONALLY thought walking would help with digestionand then we found ourselves at the next stop .We still were full and just trying to fit in every last bite as we found out the history and the story of the next item that we were eating and also the liquor that went along with that. Omar was considerate of different dietaty needs as we visite each site. Definitely would recommend and do it again.

A night out in SMA - Guide was very personable and knowledgeable. Food was mediocre with the exception of the mole enchiladas. We only had one taco and were hoping for more homemade tortillas. Tequila was good but there could be more explanation of the individual tequilas. We didn’t have mixers (limiting sugar) and wanted the tequila to be more the focus. More of a tasting experience.

Overpriced homework assignment - This is a gringo-priced tour that felt more like a homework assignment than a fun tour with tacos and tequila. Our guide, Omar, had very little charisma and repeatedly mentioned our “worksheet” and questioned why we weren’t “following along.” The printout was certainly interesting but this is tacos and tequila! I’ll study later. Keep in mind you could go to these five places and get exactly what you get on the tour for probably under $20USD. The guide was not interesting at all. Luckily we had a great group of people and kept each other very entertained.
