• San Martin de los Andes - Begin your journey on National Route 40 heading north. After passing through the Rio Negro town of Dina Huapi, cross the bridge over the Limay River to start exploring the northern part of Nahuel Huapi National Park, skirting the shores of the lake that shares its name, the most significant in the area. This route leads to Villa La Angostura, a charming small city with a quaint shopping center and a diverse selection of restaurants. Continuing on Route 40, you’ll encounter a fork: to the west (left), National Route 231 leads to the Cardenal Samoré Pass and into the Republic of Chile; to the north, continue on Route 40, known from this point as the Seven Lakes Trail. This scenic path winds around Lakes Espejo, Correntoso, Villarino, and Falkner, culminating at the Vullignanco waterfall viewpoint.
