The tour you NEED to book! :) - My family and I (my son, brother, and dad) traveled to Mexico City with the main objective of visiting the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe, but Pablo and Isaias made us fall in love with so much more. From pick-up to drop-off, it was a magical experience from start to finish. Communication throughout the entire process was excellent.
Every question we had was answered, and every request was granted. I had requested to eat at La Gruta, and not only did they make it happen, but they also ensured everything went smoothly with the reservations.
Isaias was incredibly patient at Teotihuacán, and we especially appreciated his in-depth explanations— he’s not only a guide but also an actual archaeologist who grew up in the area of the pyramids. His knowledge brought the history to life in a truly special way.
And Pablo—by the end of the day, it felt like we had gained a friend. He went above and beyond to make my dad’s dream come true, and we’ll always be grateful for that. Although most of us speak Spanish, I was so thankful that both Pablo and Isaias conducted the tour in English, so that my son could fully understand and enjoy the experience.
With all the options out there, I would HIGHLY recommend booking this tour—you will not be disappointed. This tour exceeded all expectations. Thank you, Pablo and Isaias, for making our trip unforgettable! 💕

Amazing Day Touring with Isaias - This tour was very organized from the start! Reminder message with time of pick up at our hotel, what to bring and a way to contact the tour company. We paid for a private tour but little did we know we were getting an actual Archeologist who grew up and still lives in the vicinity of the pyramids. Our guide was incredibly patient with all of our questions on the ride and while at the Teotihuacan site. We learned so much and enjoyed our company. Isaias has a passion for religion so him taking us to the Basilica Guadalupe was again an amazing experience with such a knowledgeable person. We had such a great experience thanks to this very interesting gentleman and my friend and I can't recommend him enough through PATA tours.

From the moment Pablo... - From the moment Pablo picked us up, he told us his goal was to make us fall in love with Mexico—and he absolutely succeeded. Pablo is open-minded, intelligent, and has a fantastic sense of humor. His genuine curiosity about different cultures and his deep love for his own country made every conversation insightful and engaging. He shared so much with us about Mexican life, traditions, and things to explore—it was like discovering the heart of the country through a friend.
At Teotihuacan, Isaias took over and completely amazed us with his incredible knowledge of Aztec and Mayan history. His passion for these ancient cultures was clear from the very beginning, and he had us captivated from start to finish.
Both Pablo and Isaias went above and beyond to make this tour not just enjoyable, but truly unforgettable. We can’t thank them enough for such an enriching and memorable experience.

We thoroughly enjoyed our... - We thoroughly enjoyed our trip with Pablo. He arrived at our pick up location before time . He spoke to us about life in Mexico City and the history of. Our time at the pyramids was well managed and his colleague explained the history of the pyramids well. The lunch was decent, being vegetarian that was expected. Our next stop was at the Basilica where Pablo told us about the history of the same. On our request he extended the trip (outside of the schedule) to take us to the Castle in the city. On the whole we had a good time and highly recommend Pablo and his team for trips in and around Mexico city

Pablo and PATA Tours Are the Best - I know there are many options when booking a tour to the Teotihuacan Pyramids and the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe—but this is the one you should choose. Pablo offers an intimate, knowledgeable, and comfortable experience. He partners with Monserrat, who provides a deep and engaging tour of the Teotihuacan Pyramids, and then he leads the second half of the day with a thoughtful visit to the Basilica.
What set this tour apart was how personalized it felt. My wife and I were able to focus on what we most wanted to see and learn. For me, it was a mix of history, culture, and spirituality—and PATA Tours delivered on all three fronts.
Our day began at 8 AM when Pablo picked us up directly from our hotel. During the 40-minute drive out of Mexico City (fortunately, traffic was light), he gave us a concise but rich overview of Mexican history, answering every question we had and pointing out key landmarks as we passed through the city.
At Teotihuacan, we met Monserrat, who guided us through the ancient site. She was extraordinary—like attending a master class in archaeology and history. She explained who built the pyramids, when and why, and how the site evolved over centuries. She even shared the latest academic theories about the site’s origins and purpose, using visual aids to help us imagine what it once looked like. He storytelling was so engaging that we were fully drawn in, always curious to hear more.
After the pyramids, we stopped for a brief pulque tasting and some shopping, followed by lunch at a local restaurant. We had a delicious molcajete—a stone bowl filled with grilled chicken, pork, beef, sausage, cactus, fresh tomato, lettuce, and avocado, all served with warm tortillas. It was one of the best meals we had in Mexico.
In the afternoon, we visited the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Although I’m a non-practicing Catholic, this stop felt like a personal pilgrimage. Pablo guided us through the three churches that have housed the image of Our Lady since the 1500s. His tour was respectful, fact-based, and rich with context—allowing us to reflect and interpret the experience on our own terms. Seeing the image of Our Lady in person was genuinely moving—an experience I’ll never forget.
On our return to the city, we chatted about everything from food and shopping recommendations to Pablo’s personal story and how he started his business. By the end of the day, it felt less like a tour and more like spending time with a knowledgeable friend.
Pablo and PATA Tours are simply among the best.

Visit to Mexico City - Pablo was amazing. He was right on time and had the perfect guide who took us through the pyramids and was super knowledgeable about the history. When we got to the basilica, he walked us through each church and chapel telling us all about the mystery of Our Lady of Guadeloupe and even stayed for us to attend mass there.
I highly recommend him and his company if you’re interested in a great day trip.

Excellent tour of Teotihuacan with Pablo. - We had a fantastic tour with Pablo. He is so kind, knowledgeable, and even got us into La Gruta (super popular restaurant) without a reservation. Would highly recommend.
