• Braulio Carrillo National Park - As the journey begins, travelers will first pass by coffee plantations before venturing into the mountainous region of Braulio Carrillo National Park. Here, steep slopes are adorned with dense cloud forests, and stunning waterfalls are visible from the road.
• Tortuguero National Park - The bus is left behind as the tour embarks on its most thrilling segment: a boat journey into the heart of Tortuguero National Park. This experience offers insights into the workings of nature and an authentic feel of the tropical humid rainforest. Spanning 29,000 hectares, Tortuguero is a crucial nesting ground for the green sea turtle, Chelonia Midas. Its forests and waterways provide a habitat for endangered mammals such as sloths, monkeys, agoutis, coatimundis, and manatees. The park also boasts a rich variety of birds, including toucans, trogons, egrets, herons, and aninghas, alongside crocodiles, turtles, and a myriad of vibrant butterflies, like the blue morpho. At noon, a satisfying traditional buffet lunch is served to satisfy even the largest appetites. Post-lunch, a stroll through Tortuguero Village offers a chance to learn about the town’s history and its residents. The return journey to San José includes a rest stop, with an expected arrival around 6:30 p.m.

This enchanted and secluded park is the save heaven of many different species of while life not only native of Costa Rica, but to the Americas. Travelling through the waters of the hidden lagoons and canals as the flowering vine covered trees blend in with their own water reflection we will have the unique experience of observing as close as possible several species of flora and fauna. It is easy to observe several species of crocodiles, toucan, monkeys, slots, macaws, iguanas and some others. Among such species we find the majestic green sea turtle (Chelonia mydas) which has in Tortuguero 21 miles of beach to nest in (July to October); the largest nesting site of the western hemisphere. Tortuguero is considered the most important nesting site on the western half of the caribbean for the green turtle that comes to the beach to nest every year. . Please note that the nesting tour only takes place at night and you will not see turtles nesting on the beach during this one day tour.
