Wander through galleries and streets adorned with vibrant graffiti, each piece telling a story of Costa Rica’s past and present. The tour offers a unique opportunity to meet local artists and perhaps even take home a piece of Costa Rican creativity. As you stroll through the city, you’ll catch glimpses of historic buildings, each with its own tale to tell. One reviewer noted,
Fascinating and fun! This was an awesome tour! We got lucky that the others in the group didn’t show up - so it was just our friendly and fun guide showing my wife and I around the city. He taught and showed us so much about the history, politics, culture, and architecture of San Jose, and even gave us some customized tips of what to do/where to go after we went our separate ways. Absolutely cannot recommend enough! (Reviewed on 2025-01-12)

The tour also offers a taste of Costa Rica’s culinary heritage with a traditional lunch. Imagine savoring a delicious casado or chifrijo, accompanied by a refreshing natural drink made from local fruits. The Central Market is a highlight, where you’ll explore stalls brimming with local produce, medicinal plants, and artisanal crafts. One visitor shared their experience:
Well spent 3 hours learning about not only San Jose but also Costa Rica. Our guide was so understanding that we were stuck in traffic and waited for us to arrive 15 minutes late. She was very knowledgeable on the history of Costa Rica as well the National Theatre. We packed so much into 3 hours, example a typical Costa Rican lunch which was delicious as indicated by our clean plates, an inside tour of the National Theatre, the central market where we were introduced to a Granadilla which looked like a small grapefruit on the outside but the inside looked like individual seeds surrounded by a gel on the inside. This was certainly well worth it. Highly recommend this tour! (Reviewed on 2025-02-05)
