Upon arrival at Juan Santamaria International Airport, a representative will greet you, provide an overview of your itinerary, answer any questions, and give you a packet of vouchers and information about your trip. You’ll then be transferred to Hotel Radisson, where you can enjoy some leisure time.

San Jose City Tour

San Jose - Discover the vibrant capital city of San Jose with a professional guide on this unique bus and walking tour. Learn about the local culture, architecture, customs, and traditions. Visit Central Park, the main Roman Catholic Cathedral, The Melico Salazar Theater, and the National Theater. Our guide will share the history and significance of these sites for Costa Rican culture. Explore the Gold Museum, owned by the Central Bank of Costa Rica, which houses the largest collection of Pre-Columbian gold pieces found in the country. Learn about Costa Rica’s origins, the Pre-Columbian era, and cultural evolution. Visit the traditional neighborhoods of Barrio Otoya and Barrio Amon, Parque España, Metal School, The Yellow House, and more.

Cartago Highlights Tour

Irazu Volcano National Park - This popular tour begins with a hotel pickup, followed by a one-hour transfer to the summit of the stunning Irazú Volcano. Located in the Central Volcanic Conservation Area, the volcano is still active, with its last major eruptions occurring between 1963 and 1965. The Crater Principal lake features a unique greenish-yellow color due to minerals dissolved by rainfall, occasionally changing to rust-red.

After visiting the volcano, enjoy the beauty of the Orosi Valley and Town, Ujarras Ruins, and Cachi Lake with its Hydroelectric Dam. Lunch is included at a charming local restaurant before descending to the historic city of Cartago. Here, visit the mysterious ruins of the old Parish and admire the beautiful Basilica of “Virgen de los Angeles.”

Arenal Volcano & Hot Springs

Arenal Volcano National Park - The magnificent Arenal Volcano is a national park that draws countless tourists due to its beauty and recent volcanic activity. In La Fortuna, a guided tour will showcase the area’s highlights, including its diverse tourist attractions, ecosystems, lake, culture, customs, and traditions. Upon arrival, visit the Baldi Hot Springs, the world’s largest thermal spa complex. Enjoy various thermal pools with different temperatures, luxurious pool bars, giant slides, a steam cave, relaxation areas, and more. Dinner is included. Afterward, our driver will return to San Jose, and you can decide how long to stay. At the end of your visit to Baldi, take a taxi to your hotel, just 5 minutes away, at your own expense.

Arenal Hanging Bridges Tour

Arenal Volcano National Park - Arenal Hanging Bridges Tour. Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. Mid-morning, our guide will pick you up for a visit to one of the area’s most beautiful attractions: the Hanging Bridges. This private biological reserve, located in front of the majestic Arenal Volcano, features stunning facilities and a network of suspension bridges and trails. Hike across 10 regular bridges and 6 suspension bridges, and admire an 18-meter waterfall from one of the trails. Our guide will help you interpret the natural surroundings and spot wildlife in this unique tropical forest. After the tour, return to your hotel to check out. Lunch is on your own. At approximately 1:00 PM, take a shuttle bus back to your Radisson hotel in San Jose. Enjoy free time in the evening.
