San Jose - Upon arrival at San Jose airport, a representative will greet you to explain your itinerary, answer any questions, and provide a package of vouchers and information about your trip. Transfer to the Radisson Hotel and check in.

Departure by Plane to Drake Bay & Corcovado

Drake Bay - Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before transferring by van to the airport for a domestic flight to Drake Bay. Upon arrival, a Rancho Corcovado representative will escort you for a short transfer to the lodge. The lodge is conveniently located near Corcovado National Park and the Caño Island Biological Reserve.

The Rancho Corcovado Hotel offers a family-friendly, personalized experience. Its location is perfect for combining adventure with relaxation, as it is situated by the sea and surrounded by nature, where birds and wildlife create unforgettable moments.

The hotel features a restaurant serving local and international cuisine, prepared by local chefs who bring a homely touch to the dishes.

From the hotel, guests can enjoy a variety of activities such as diving, snorkeling, horseback riding, paddling, hiking, jungle trails, bird watching, fishing, sailing, and more.

Corcovado National Park Tour

Corcovado National Park - Spend a full day immersed in the rainforest at Corcovado National Park, renowned for its stunning beauty, abundant wildlife, and lush foliage. After breakfast at the Tent Camp, board a boat for a 25-minute ride to the San Pedrillo Station, the northernmost ranger station of the park.

A guided hour-long walk along the beach, led by a local naturalist, takes you to a forest trail up the Rio Pargo. At midday, enjoy lunch under the shade of a mango tree on Llorona beach, listening to the surf while resting from the morning’s adventure. The next part of the journey is a walk up the San Pedrillo River, leading to a rainforest waterfall perfect for a refreshing dip. Kingfishers and Jesus Christ lizards inhabit this river. The park is home to endangered species such as cougars, jaguars, ocelots, and giant anteaters. All four species of Costa Rican monkeys live in the trees.

Cano Island Park Tour

Cano Island - A day trip to Caño Island offers an unforgettable experience for divers, snorkelers, hikers, and nature enthusiasts. You may also see schools of dolphins swimming around the boat, and whales are often spotted during their migration season. Caño Island rises like a giant emerald from the sea, with soaring coastal cliffs, white-sand beaches, and a densely forested interior, making it one of the most dramatic landmasses in the area.

Caño Island is surrounded by five platforms of low reefs where over a dozen species of coral thrive. These shelves are home to countless life forms like sea urchins, lobsters, and various giant conchs.

After a picnic lunch shaded by almond trees on the beach, guests can explore the island’s burial sites on self-guided trails, play beach volleyball, swim, snorkel, dive, or simply relax on the sun-warmed sand.

Transfer Corcovado – San Jose - Arenal

La Fortuna - Enjoy breakfast at the lodge before transferring to the local airport for a domestic flight to San Jose. Upon arrival, a Greenway Tours representative will meet you and provide a land transfer to Fortuna Town and Arenal Volcano. Check in at Hotel Arenal Paraiso or a similar establishment and enjoy free time at your leisure.
