Amazing Experience! - Great Experience. We took a small tour of the city, which was very informative. Then, we made a recipe and two cocktails. Afterwards, we ate our creations and also were given more courses made by the kitchen. The food was fantastic and this was a great dinner to have in San Jose!

Entertainment and information - There is not much actual food prep but it was fun what there was. Oscar toured us around the market and the downtown, he uses a small speaker to project his voice, he's highly entertaining and full of information. The food part was wonderful. Overall great entertainment.

Suggest the name be... - Suggest the name be changed to better reflect the experience. We didn’t have dinner at a local’s home but rather at a cozy restaurant with individual attention from our tour guide/chef. Night in San Jose may concern some, perhaps rightfully so. The evening was spent in the restaurant not walking the street.

A wonderful evening in San Jose! - Bring your appetite and a sweater. Plenty of amazing local food. Wonderful walk through the Central Market. Andrea showed us many vendors with a fascinating range of items to purchase. She included us in preparing the food and drinks which was a BLAST but not overwhelming. This tour was fun and a perfect example of Pura Vida! Our chef and bartender at the restaurant were excellent as well. I thoroughly enjoyed the evening and will do it again.

Saturday, January 31st, 4pm tour. - We met at the monument in front of the main entrance of the Central Bank of Costa Rica. There we met our guide Angel. He was a wonderful guide. Very knowledgeable, and personable. He took very good care of us. First we did a walking tour, starting with the nearby central market. Finishing our evening at the Mr. Sloth Coffee shop building. There we started our meal making, and drinks upstairs, then moved to the lower level where we were served a delicious meal, with drinks. At the restaurant Angel was joined by Marcelo, who also took very good care of us. We had perhaps around 20 people in our group. It ended up being very manageable, and we had a very nice group to share the evening with. We had a very nice time. Or evening finished around 7:30pm. It was very easy, and safe, to get an Uber just outside of the building.
