A zip-line operates on a straightforward principle. Riders travel along an aircraft-grade steel cable using a pulley and a safety harness. The main safety strap can support over 20 times the rider’s weight, with a secondary strap serving as a backup. Movement is powered by gravity, as the cable is slightly inclined downward, making it unidirectional and only functional in one direction. As for stopping, the pulley is equipped with a friction brake that halts the rider at the end of the zip-line, where an instructor is always present to assist. This simplicity ensures safety, minimizing the possibility of user error.
