Fabulous time and great food! - We loved our time at Alma de Mexico! Such a welcoming and enjoyable cooking class with Oscar. Hands down my favorite activity in Los Cabos so far and we are already planning to return on our next visit. The food was delicious, conversation great, and the whole experience felt warm and inviting. Love that it was at a small, family owned and run restaurant. Highly recommend!

Great cooking lesson and fantastic experience! - When I travel I always want to take a cooking class to learn local cuisine, even living in Southern California I wanted to learn authentic cooking. The class did not disappoint! Thete were 4 of us in the lesson. Oscar was a fantastic host and we discussed much of local cuisine. We made 3 types of tamales (beef, chicken, shrimp) and then made authentic salsa as well as guacamole. I advise to bring your appetite! The food was all delicious, as were the hibiscus and mango margaritas. We really enjoyed the lesson and highly recommend this experience!

Awesome mexican cooking experience! - During our travels we always like to try new experiences and this Mexican cooking class was one of the best we have ever done. We were personally meet by the owner of the restaurant - Oscar - who was ready and waiting for us. We were taught to make home made tamales, guacamole and roasted salsa all while imbibing in house made specilty flavored margaritas. This was a one on one experience and well worth the money. We will definitely be heading to the restaurant for dinner next time we are in town. Ours hats off to Oscar and his team for the excellent service they provided!

Cook your own food at a restaurant? I think yes! - Fun times, great crew, worth the experience. They kept the drinks flowing from the open bar while we made our own tamales. While we waited for the tamales to cook, they brought us salsa ingredients and a molcajete so we could make our own salsa and guacamole. It's fun to eat at restaurants on vacation but this interactive experience was also very fun and incredibly memorable.

San Jose Tamales - Fun experience! Chef Karla was very freindly and informative but I would have liked to been a little more involved in the whole procees. He had prepared many of the ingrediants before I arrived but I understand that all of that takes time and some of it was very simple. All in all it was a good experience.
