Maipo Valley is located 60 minutes away of South east of Santiago. Following the current of Maipo River and joining with the Metropolitan Region we find one of the most traditional wine zone of the country and where it was founded the first vineyards. It was in this Maipo valley, where it was discovered at beginning of the 1990’s, the famous grape, “CARMENERE”, that, actually, it is cultivated only in Chile in an industrial way. Many enologists believed it extinguished since the years 1800’s. We will visit 1 vineyard
